Dialgia's POV
*******************
Here comes the yearly trial of our capability. I wished that I could see Janna this morning, but, well...I don't really want to for now. Not that she's angry, but...I just don't want to. She'll probably overhear my plan of getting myself killed. And maybe she'll start changing the world's weather to a heavy storm when I break my neck.
Emi and Ara didn't mind at all. One by one, the students pooled out the ship and stepped on the grass the Airwing landed on. It was a very dark and foggy maze of birch. It was like the place in my dream. Catching a glimpse of Damae, she wasn't there. I think she got out first, which was illegal if you didn't wanna get yourself killed. Little sources of light showered the empty terrain. Well, we surveyed the area first, and sure enough, the first attack was on the Yellow team. Yes, it's not surprising at all. A little later, there were ear-piercing screams, and noises of heavy breathing. Also loud curses and extreme explosion. After a moment of surveying, the beast the Yellow team were trying hard to disintegrate its head to decayed bits. It was a large, hairy creature with hella big and sharp teeth, and it had a crocodile skull-like head with bulging eyeballs. So it looked like a gorilla with a crocodile skull for a head. Good thing its neck was flesh. So with some watery leverage, I dived off a tree and cut the beast's head with a redblade. The filth luckily did not splatter me, it had no filth at all! This thing is dead and dead before I cut its head off. It finished off with a not-meant-to-be explosion that frizzed my hair a little.
Enough about hair frizz. Surveying again, people seemed to manage the beasts and man-eating plants. There was a lot of black on our hands after. We didn't have a single scar on us. Instead we looked like we came home from a drunk camping night. It obviously sucks, not having a next level. But if we weren't there to stop them, they'd be going extreme, invading Vernis and Lagadon and eating the people there.
Suddenly came a sound of a thousand screams and a lot of flare went up the sky. The sky around us turned gray and started to rain. Bright flashes of light were seen, and fire seemed to rage through the rain. Water surrounded our feet, rapidly growing to intertide level. The air was so strong it uprooted trees. The trees too were burning. I knew what I faced. Sarlat was trying very hard to let the hectares of land sink. Alard's team had witnessed an outrageous and heinous crime. Vernt's team were setting the forest on fire. The Orange team were in dire need of rescue. Purple team's wind howled and uprooted trees, rocks, grass, and almost caused a tornado. Worst of all:
Damae was standing up a high rock, all blood-soaked with Orange team members' blood. She smiled for the first time. But it wasn't of a normal glee. It was already obvious. Shadows groaned and crept towards the petrified teams. Clouds swirled up above the tragically gray sky. Black orbs formed at her palms and Damae levitated, which was not normal. The shadows built themselves up to a massive and undefeatable python who looked down at them.
'Rejoice! For Dagar has awakened through the great serpentine of evil! Sorry, Dialgia. You are going to die here. And all of you as well.'
