"Hey Cap, you good?"

Mikasa didn't bother turning around. "Im fine," She said, moving gear around certain spots in the practice area. They were outside in another area of the keep. It was more towards the back of the entire premise, close to her quarters. Her squad came out here almost every day to train for long strenuous hours. Mikasa hardly gave them a break, and now with her whole entire predicament clouding her mind a break was nonexistent.

She needed this time to get her mind off of things, even if it was just for a couple of hours.

It was such a backwards approach to her situation than what she usually did. She usually either acted coolly and dealt with it or acted on impulse. Never had she ever want to step back. She needed to though, and she knew it.

She didnt even know how to begin Erwin's mission. Was she supposed to just accept all that Annie did, and act like nothing happened? That she didnt break her heart in two? That she didnt commit all those dark acts?

No, there was too much history on the dark side for Mikasa to simply act normal around the blonde. Their relationship is deep, but it is also different now. So much has happened, or rather, too much has happened for the two to simply turn back into the way they were before. But then again, did Mikasa even want it to be the way it was before? She still had feelings for Annie, that much she knew, but she didnt exactly know whether or not she would discard them or grasp them.

All of this hurt her head too much, and she would much rather fight and train than think and mull.

"If you say so." Tauriel replied back, not pushing the subject.

Mikasa stood upright as she finally finished setting up their gear in the correct spots. She twisted her body and faced Tauriel. "Where's Arlise?"

Tauriel began tying her hair up, opting out of the usual braid for today. "She went to get her long sleeve." She answered. "So how is this going to work? I mean we were pretty good as a six person team, except for one little annoying shit, but we were still good. But seven people is pushing it. We dont even have even numbers to do routines."

"Ill figure it out," Mikasa exhaled, raking a hand through her hair to get it out of her eyes. "For now, I just want Annie to learn the basic groundwork."

"Ice queen? Youre kidding right?" Tauriel scoffed. "I may not have graduated with her, but her skill is still talked about in the cadet corps. Why would she need to train?"

"Because she literally hasn't moved in over a year. She needs the conditioning." Mikasa replied, crossing her arms in thought. "Train with Mavick today your sword combat. I need you to practice that and get used to fighting without your gear."

"Captain," A girl called behind her and Mikasa turned towards the sound of the voice. Mikasa saw her two of her squad members walking towards them, their boots kicking up dust from the dry ground beneath them.

One of them was a rather average heighted girl, with pale skin that was covered with a thing cotton long sleeve. Her white hair was up in a braided bun, decorated with the usual red ribbon. Her crimson eyes stared into Mikasa's grey ones, and while it intimidated most people Mikasa didnt see any hostility or anger in them. They simply were, and Mikasa knew that despite Arlise's rather intimidating look she wouldn't hurt anyone, at least, not without a just cause.

Arlise was rather pretty, with her sharp features and light skin, but her demeanor and personal preference to be alone often scared others away. Everyone except for the other members in her squad.
