Annie vomited harshly into the wash bin, the whole action racking racking her body.

She looked up into the mirror, and saw a gruesome image of herself reflected back. There she was panting heavily, her shoulders bobbing up and down in their hunched position, her chest rising and falling quickly, sweat darkening her clothes and making it stick to her, and her loose blonde hair sticking to her face and covering parts of her eyes.

She tried to take a deep breath, to calm her insides, but then bile rose up in her throat and she bowed her head into the basin again, puking.

Her body shook, and even though Annie was gripping the sides of the basin tightly, to the point that her knuckles were white, her strength didn't seem to be at its top.

Black bile swirled in the silver basin, reflecting nothing as she retched her insides out. Her stomach was becoming taut and sore from the constant flexing. Her throat burned, and nothing else was heard in the room except for Annie's coughs and gags from her retching.

"Arlise?" Mikasa gently knocked on the Scouts door. "I need you to do something for me."

The door opened immediately, Arlise's eyebrows furrowing in confusion at her Captain's presence. Her attire only furthered the idea that Mikasa's appearance was unexpected, as Arlise greeted her in her pants and black sports bra, half-dressed to train. Mikasa's squad all knew at what time they needed to be outside to train. It was like clockwork to them now, and obviously didn't require for Mikasa to come to each of their rooms and wake them up.

"What is it?" Arlise asked, stepping back into the room and getting her long sleeved white cotton shirt from her wardrobe. How Arlise managed not to faint in that attire was beyond Mikasa, but she supposed the pale Scout was used to it.

Arlise was born albino, her red-eyes, pale skin, and white hair testifying to that. Albinos, however, were sensitive to sunlight, especially if it was direct and intense, and Arlise was no exception to that. She often had to wear clothing that covered most if not all parts of her body, to protect her skin.

"I need you to get Annie." Mikasa went on to tell Arlise what room Annie was in. "I need to go to a meeting with Hange and Erwin and several others. Since Tauriel is my second, she would be in charge but she's still under recovery, and you're my third so you know what that means."

Arlise nodded, pulling the shirt over her head. "Do I train with Annie or have her train with the others?"

"Don't train with her until I get back. I want to assess her combat skills while I'm there to watch. For now, have her condition. She seemed a bit weakened since the awakening, so she needs to work those muscles again."

"Okay." Arlise said, walking out the room and closing the door. "Anything else?"

"Yes. I went to visit Tauriel, but the medic says she still doesn't want any visitors. So tell Mavick that."

Arlise raised a brow. "She still doesn't want anyone to see her? Why?"

Mikasa shrugged. "I don't know. Your guess is as good as mine."

Arlise's red-eyes turned hard, a sign that she was thinking thoroughly. "Alright." She said, not pushing the subject.

Mikasa met Arlise's gaze and she knew that the Scout understood her. Mikasa thought it was odd too. Tauriel was a person who was eccentric and overly extroverted. Now she suddenly turned silent, not wanting anyone to see her.
