So much Mikannie is about to happen y'all aren't ready
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The entire ride to the wall Annie was confused as hell.
One minute Mikasa is there warning her, acting like she cares, then she leaves.
Annie wanted to trip her on her horse.
Mikasa didn't approach Annie again throughout the rest of the ride, much to her disappointment. She kept to herself and didn't even bother talking to anyone else, not that they wanted to anyways.
When the walls finally loomed before them, it was late afternoon. Mikasa didn't spare a glance at Annie as they neared it, waiting for the front gates to open.
Annie sighed and grabbed her cloak, throwing it around herself and putting the hood on. Several Scouts gave her weird looks but she didn't care.
As they approached the wall, the gates finally opened, letting them in.
All twenty-six Scouts trotted through, and the gate slammed shut behind them. The moment Annie passed under the the gate, her eyes widened at the amount of people she saw.
There was a large crowd split down the middle and placing themselves on either side of the group. They let them pass, and they cheered with smiles on their faces.
"Mikasa!" An excited boy yelled. "Look, it's Captain Mikasa!"
Mikasa didn't acknowledge the praise, either because she didn't care or she didn't hear from the others shouting her name, but Annie felt a bit overwhelmed.
Everyone looked at Mikasa like she was some goddess walking among them. The light of hope and admiration shining in their eyes was in almost every individual here.
Annie bowed her head down, and didn't look anymore.
They stopped well into the city. The streets were congested with people and buildings.
Their horses were taken care of and taken to some stable Annie didn't care to remember the name of. She walked through the crowd with her cloak still on, and her hood still up.
She still received looks from passing people, but they were looks of curiosity.
She supposed that was better than hatred.
"Alright," Erwin's voice boomed to his Scouts. "Hange and I will talk to the supply officers. Everyone find some inn or something to sleep for tonight. Be ready by dawn. I want those wagons out of here by then."
"Yes sir!" The Scouts shouted, but Annie remained silent.
Erwin nodded and left, Hange by his side. The Scouts all split in different directions like ants.
It was like they were magnets and they were finding their other half, because they all seemed to know where to go.
She felt a hand brush her arm, and Arlise was by her side. "Follow us. We have to stay with our squad."
Annie nodded, and then she followed the white-haired girl.
"Is it always this full?"
