Draco's pov.

I couldn't keep my eyes off her. The veela in me adored her. She was who I live for now no one else in the world matters. She has that long waving brown hair and her chestnut eyes. She has amazingly smooth golden skin. Merlin, I could barely talk to her normally. I wish I hadn't been so mean to her all those past years and I wish I could just take it all back. I have to earn her trust make her love me for me. I am determined not to turn out like my father. He forced my mother to marry him. I put down my book and get up to follow Hermione down to breakfast.

I catch up to Hermione on the sixth floor as she has stopped to tell off a third year for jinxing his friend into doing the tap dance. She finishes telling him off for using magic in the corridors and begins walking again.

"Granger wait up." I call after her not entirely sure why. I just like being near her, probably part of the veela thing. She pauses waiting for me.

"Yes?" She says continuing to walk once I had caught up with her.

"Do you know what our duties are as heads?" I ask needing an excuse to walk with her.

"Yes we have rounds every other night to do and we tutor some of the younger students occasionally and other jobs the professors assign us." She says as we reach the marble stair case.

"Ok see you tonight." I say as we part ways toward our separate tables.
