Epiloge

Ten years later

Draco's pov

"Draco grab Leo or he'll get himself covered in mud!" Laughs Hermione from the veranda as our four year old son Leo rolls around in the garden. Hermione and I had moved in to a mansion on the outskirts of London soon after our marriage.

"Saraphina, would please go help your father." Says Hermione not moving to assist in anyway in the retrieving of our son. Saraphina gets up from her spot beside her mother on the bench and walks down the stairs. I pick my way through some of the plants and manage to grab Leo. The seven year old Saraphina sees that I have already grabbed Leo and sits back down. I hold Leo in my arms and walk up the stairs to the veranda before siting down in one of the chairs beside the bench.

"Daddy, when are Grandma, Grandpa and Nana going to be here?" Inquires Phiny our nickname for Saraphina.

"Later tonight dear." I reply. She of course had left out my father whom she has never met because he is in Azcaban.

"Why don't you have a dad?" She asks, always with the questions.

"I used to have a dad, but he died when I was five." I say sharing a glance with Hermione. It was sort of true that's when he stopped being my father.

"Mommy I'm hungry, can I go get a snack?" Asks Leo.

"Thanks for asking Leo, yes of course you can go. Phiny do you want to go to?" Replies Hermione. The children run off into the house and I moved to the bench before putting an arm over Hermione's shoulders.

"Should we tell them what your father did to you?" She asks.

"Later, when they're older." I reply.

"I love you." She says brushing the scar still visible on my cheek.

"I love you too." I say pecking a kiss on her cheek.

"I know." She says smiling.
