~Sans' POV~
Throughout our time hanging out together at the park, I notice Frisk occasionally glancing towards the direction Papyrus and the girls went.
(She must be upset that the man she likes is with other girls, huh?)
I take her hand in mine, asking her if she'd like to go for a walk. She turns her head away from me, but nods.
The whole time we walk in the woods around the park, she keeps her head down. I look down at her and tighten my grip on her hand a little more. (I'm sorry. I know you'd prefer for my brother to be holding your hand, but...
Well, he probably will be someday soon. Just be patient with him, please.)

After our walk, Frisk and I decide to go find Papyrus and head home. When we do finally find him, he's surrounded by girls.
"Soo cuuuuuute~"
"Hey, I wanna take a picture of him!"
"No, I do!!"

I hesitate before attempting to push my way through the huddled group. "I wonder what's goin' on.."
"SANS!" Pap shouts enthusiastically, "look, they put makeup on me!!"
He excuses himself through the remaining ladies surrounding him.
(Oh...my god..)
I stare at my younger brother in disbelief, trying not to laugh.
"Bro, I ~pff~ don't think makeup is..really suited for guys.."
Frisk, on the other hand, gives him a thumbs up. "You look beautiful, Paps!"
A rather attractive black-haired girl walks up and wraps her arms around one of Papyrus'. "C'mon Pappy~, some of us still need to get pictures!"
"Sorry, Hailey, but I have to go for today. But, I hope I'll see you all real soon! You all have my number, right?"
"Yeah, I think so."
All of the girls give Papyrus a group hug before we walk away. As we head to our car, I can hear the girls still yelling goodbyes to him.
"Bye Pappy!"
"Byyyye Marissa!"

"I'll text ya soon, hun, okay?"
"Sure thing, Patty!"

"I hope we can all hang out again soon!"
"Me too! I had a lot of fun!"

Little did I know at that moment that his time with them today would affect our future in a way I'd never expected.

For the past couple of weeks, Papyrus has been very busy. Anytime the three of us went somewhere, girls would flock to him and take him away from his usual plans. Of course, most of the time it only happened because he was to kind to say "no" to them. He also had plans most days with people who would text him asking him to hang out with them. Therefore, Frisk and I weren't very surprised when he said this morning that he couldn't go with us to the park.
The two of us spend most of the day swinging or walking. However, after a few hours, we decide to sit down at a bench. We sit in silence until Frisk speaks up.
"Sans?"
"What is it, kiddo?"
"I kind of feel like Papyrus doesn't even want to hang out with us anymore. Since he has all of these new friends..he never seems to have time, or even make time, for us."
I sigh and ruffle her chocolatey-brown hair. "I don't think it's that he doesn't want to be with us anymore. It's more of the fact that's he has a lot more people that want his attention now. You know how he is, he tries to be kind to everybody that he meets..so he can't just easily tell anyone "no" or that he's too busy."
Frisk looks down at the ground, seeming disappointed.
"You..okay?"
She looks back up at me, giving me a big, forced smile. "Yeah."
(How do you expect me to believe that...when you're crying?)

That night after dropping Frisk off and coming home, I sit in the living room, picturing her tear-filled eyes and hurt expression from earlier today.
"I don't get it.."
"Don't get what," Papyrus asks as he walks out of his bedroom.
"Pap.."
I stare at him for a moment before speaking. "Papyrus, what do you think you're doing?"
"I'm getting ready to make some spaghetti, why do you ask?"
"No, that's not what I mean. It's.."
I sigh, running my fingers through my hair. "Papyrus, I thought that the whole reason you wanted to become a human was so you could be with Frisk?"
"Ah, yeah. I guess I have been pretty busy, huh? I haven't really had time to talk to her."
"Papyrus," I say, glaring at him, "if you don't make time to talk to Frisk and confess to her soon, then I'm going to confess to her instead."
He stares at me in shock. "Wha--Huh? What do you mean 'you'll confess instead'?"
"Look, I like her, too. And I'm tired of seeing her crying and getting hurt. If you're not going to be the one to make her happy, then I will be."
His expression turns to pure anger. "Sans! You know that I like her! I like her a lot!! Why would you do that to me?!"
"Because you're not doing ANYTHING. She's seemed down all week, and you haven't even been there for her. Hell, you haven't even tried to make time to see her!"
Papyrus' expression contorts into a look of shame, anger, and sadness combined. "Fine. You know what? I'm going to ask her on a date. Tomorrow."
"Don't you already have plans with someone tomorrow?"
"I-I'll cancel! I won't let you steal Frisk from me, brother!"
He storms back into his room, slamming the door behind him.
I lay back and sink into the couch.
(I think that's the first real fight I've ever had with him..)
I slide down into a laying position, closing my eyes. (I'm sorry, Pap, but this is the only way I know of to get you to take action. Though..I wasn't lying when I said I'd confess to her.)
I stretch my arms and look up towards the ceiling. (Nah, it's pretty obvious that she likes him back. There's no point in me interfering any more than I already have.)
Letting out one last sigh, I curl up on the couch and fall asleep.
