~Sans' POV~
Later that same day, I decide to visit Tori. I wait until 7pm just to be sure that she's off of work.
Tori and I had become best friends after meeting each other. We would often hang out at her place together and come up with new jokes. However, we haven't spent as much time together as we used to since she became a school teacher. We've seen each other even less since Frisk moved out, but we still stay in touch.
I walk up to her purple, wooden house and knock on the front door; quickly hearing "Just a moment!" coming from inside.
Soon after, the door opens. "Oh, Sans!"
"Hey Tori," I slightly wave. "Sorry for the surprise visit. Are you busy?"
"No, not at all! Please, come in."
I follow her inside, closing the door behind me.
Toriel sits in her usual large, brown recliner, and motions for me to sit at the parallel brown sofa.
"So, what's going on, Sans? You seem a bit down."
"Well, you see.."
I explain to her the events of earlier today. I mention how hurt Frisk seemed before she left, and how worried I am about her.
Knowing how my brother had previously felt about her, and the fact that I believed Frisk liked him back, she tells me something that kind of surprises me.
"Sans..I don't know how Frisk would feel about me telling you this, but I trust you not to tell another soul."
"What is it?"
"You see," she starts, "I know for a fact that Frisk does not have romantic feelings for your brother.
"Then, why did she seem so upset about him not coming around," I ask, giving her a questioning look.
"Frisk has told me before than you and Papyrus are two of the three most important people in her life. I personally believe that the reason for her being so upset is due to the fact that she doesn't want to lose anyone whom she cares deeply for."
I look down in thought as Tori continues.
"However, I have asked Frisk before if she had feelings for him, because I, too, could tell he liked her."
I let out a small chuckle. "Yeah, I think everyone realized but him. So..what'd she say?"
"She said that he's a good guy, but she thinks of him more like a brother than a boyfriend."
I let out a sigh. "I'm afraid that she may feel the same way about me.."
"Sans, do you like my daughter, now?"
I feel my face heat up as I nod. "I've liked her for quite a few years now, to be honest."
"Just so you know, Sans, I approve of you dating her."
"But she probably only sees me as a brother, too."
"Well, if you'd like, I can find out if she likes anyone for you."
I shake my head in response. "I'd honestly rather not know. I'll probably just end up feeling worse about everything if she likes someone else."
"Okay. Well, I promise not to tell her about what we've talked about. However, I am going to ask her if she likes anyone, because I am also curious. Besides, for all you know..it could be you," she says with a wink.
I can't help but to let out a nervous chuckle. "I doubt I'd ever be that lucky."
After that, Toriel changes the subject. The two of us spend the rest of the day catching up until I decide I should head home.
~Toriel's POV~
After Sans and I say our goodbyes, I sit in my chair for a bit, deep in thought.
(So, say that Frisk actually admits to liking Sans..is there any way that I can help them come together? I mean..Sans IS a great man. I believe that he'd make her very happy.)
After thinking for a little while, I take out my phone and pull up Frisk's contact. "Oh well, I probably shouldn't interfere too much. But I would at least like to know if she'll admit to liking him."
I dial her number.
"Hello, mom?"
"Hello, my child. I was wondering if you would like to come over tomorrow, seeing as it's my day off and I don't have any plans."
"Sure! Besides, I'd like to catch up."
"Okay, dear. I shall see you tomorrow. Sleep well."
"Thanks, you too! Good night."

The next day, Frisk shows up rather early in the morning. We spend the first few hours catching up. Most of what Frisk says involves Sans, which I can tell causes my face to light up.
"My dear child, you sure do enjoy spending time with him, don't you?"
"Of course! He means almost as much to me as you do, mom," she says with a big smile.
"But with the way your eyes shine when you talk about him..do you happen to have a bit of a crush on him?" I tease.
Her face flushes a deep shade of red.
"W-well..uhh.." she looks down with a sad expression. "Y-yeah, I do. I actually like him..a lot. But, there's no way I can ever let him find out, so please don't tell him!"
"It's not my place to tell him, dear. But, why don't you want him to know, if I may ask?"
Frisk lowers her head, saying "Because he likes someone else.."
I look at her in confusion. "How would you know that?"
She looks away and nervously plays with her fingers. "Because I..kind of eavesdropped on him and Papyrus. He said he likes someone that he'd never have a chance with."
(I shouldn't say this, but..) "Frisk, what if I said there was a chance of me knowing who it is that Sans likes; would you want to know?"
She looks thoughtful for a moment. "Honestly, I am curious. But I think that it'd be better if I didn't know. Mostly because..if I find out who he likes, it might hurt even more."
"Even if there's a chance of him liking you back?"
She gives my an apologetic smile. "Mom, I'm sorry to be negative, but I'd never be that lucky."
I let out a small sigh. "You two may be more alike than I expected."
"What do you mean?"
"Oh, nothing, dear! Just thinking out loud."
Although the expression on Frisk's face shows that she doesn't believe me, she ends up changing the subject.
The two of us talk most of the day and even play some board games.
When it starts getting dark outside, Frisk decides to leave. Before she walks out of the door, I try giving her one last piece of advice. "Frisk, my child, you should not give up on Sans so easily. If you do not wish to confess to him, you do not have to. However, you should not avoid him. Whether or not he does like you back, you do not want to lose his friendship, do you?"
She smiles in response, saying "You're right. I couldn't live with myself if I let him go."
After exchanging goodbyes, she leaves.
(I do hope that things work out for them.) I think to myself as I pour a cup of tea. (They both deserve happiness.)
