~Sans' POV~
Over the last couple of weeks, Frisk and I have spent almost every day together. We've mostly spent time at the nature park, Grillby's, or each others' homes.
Today Frisk and I decided to just hang out at my house and play some games.

"Check mate," Frisk exclaims as she moves her queen chess piece.
"Darn kid, that's three times in a row. You're pretty good at this," I say, praising her.
"Thanks, I owe it all to mom. She thought me how to play; we practiced a lot when neither of us were busy."
"So, you might say...she gave you a chess tutoriel?" I say with a wink.
Just as Frisk is about to respond, Papyrus enters the house, shouting "SANS!"
"What's up Pap?"
He flashes a big, excited smile, saying "You're never going to believe what happened today! I, The Great Papyrus, have a girlfriend!!!!"
I only stare at him in shock. (I'm happy for him, but..what about Frisk? Doesn't she still-)
"Congrats, Papyrus! I'm happy for you," Frisk says enthusiastically.
"Y-yea, congrats, bro." (She doesn't really seem upset about it..)
"It was so crazy. I never expected anyone to ask me to date them," Papyrus admits.
"Well, you are a pretty cool dude," frisk says with a wink. She then excuses herself to the bathroom.
After she leaves the room, I get up off of the floor where we had sat to play chess and walk over to sit on the couch.
"So, I've never had the chance to ask. Have you confessed yet," Pap asks me, a look of anticipation in his eyes.
"Nope. Besides, i'd never have a chance with her anyway," I say with a shrug.
"You need to tell her, Sans, before it's too late. If you don't, you might regret it for the rest of your life."
I let out a long sigh. "How would I explain that to Frisk? What if she ends up hating me?"
"Don't worry, brother. I think she'll be fine with it."
"Maybe, but I don't want to risk ruining our friendship. I never planned on confessing to her in the first place, and that's not why I changed into a human in the first place..so I don't mind changing back as long as I can keep being close with her.."
Papyrus sits in the adjacent recliner with a sigh. "Brother, I worry about you. You have always done everything you could to help and protect me. You even always put my own happiness before your own. I just..want you to be happy. You deserve it.."
"Making sure that the people I care about are happy and safe makes me happy."
"Please just consider telling her, brother."
I nod in response, sighing once again.
Not long after we finish our conversation, Frisk walks back in. I notice that her face is a bit red and that she seems lost in thought. She sits down on the couch, farther from me than she ever usually sits. "Is everything okay, kid?"
"I'm just..feeling a bit sick." She stands back up and walks over to the door, putting her shoes on. "I..think I'm going to head home for the day."
"Alright, let me just grab my keys and I'll take you-"
"No," she interrupts, "I'm okay with walking. It's not that far.."
With that said, she leaves; not even saying goodbye.
"I wonder what happened?" Papyrus questions.
I stare at the door. (Maybe Pap's news really did hurt her..she was just trying to hide it..)

~Frisk's POV~
After excusing myself to the bathroom, I go on to find that there's no toilet paper. (Huh..I wonder where they keep it..)
I check under the sink and in the bathroom closet, but find nothing.
"I guess I'll just have to go ask.."
As I approach the door leading to the living room, I hear them talking.
"So, I've never had the chance to ask. Have you confessed yet," I hear Papyrus ask.
(Wait..what?) Feeling curious, I stand to where they can't see me, but I can hear them clearly.
"Nope. Besides, is never have a chance with her anyway," Sans responds.
(Sans has someone he likes..?)
"You need to tell her, Sans, before it's too late. If you don't, you might regret it for the rest of your life."
I hear Sans let out a sigh. "How would I explain that to Frisk? What if she ends up hating me?"
(Does he..want me to approve of someone he likes? But..)
"Don't worry, brother. I think she'll be fine with it."
Not wanting to hear any more, I rush quietly back to the bathroom, feeling tears form in my eyes.
(I want Sans to be happy, but..I don't want to lose him..)
After getting my tears to stop, I wash my face and head back out into the living room. I sit a noticeable distance from Sans. "Is everything okay, kid?"
"I'm just..feeling a bit sick."
(Maybe I shouldn't be here right now..I don't want them to worry about me.)
I stand again and go to the door, putting on my shoes.
"I..think I'm going to head home for the day."
"Alright, let me just grab my keys and I'll take you-"
"No, I'm okay with walking. It's not that far.." (It's more of the fact that I don't know how to face him right now without crying..)
After saying that, I leave, not even saying bye to them.
