The past two days, Frisk has seemed kinda distant. We only spent a few hours together each day before she would say she needed to go home.
Today being Thursday, my last full day as a human, I decide to call her to see if she's up for hanging out.
After dialing her number, it rings quite a few times before she answers.
"Hello..?"
"Uh..hey, kid. Since today's my last day as a human..I was wondering if you'd wanna celebrate with me."
"Oh, uh..sure," she says indecisively.
"Alright. Is it okay if I pick you up in about thirty minutes? Since it's already 4pm, I'd like to go soon so we have time to actually enjoy ourselves before it gets too late."
"That's fine, I can be ready by then."
"Alright. See ya in a bit."
"You too."
After we hang up, I head over to my closet and try to find something decent to wear. I end up just picking out a white t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans.
After getting dressed, doing my hygiene, and putting on a bit of cologne, I grab my keys and leave for Frisk's house.
Once I arrive, I walk up to her door and knock. A minute or two later, she opens it, smiling shyly at me.
"H-hey, Sans!"
I stare at her for a moment, captivated by how beautiful she looks.
"Y-you look nice today, Frisk."
"Thanks," she says as she closes and locks her door.
The two of us get into the car and drive to Grillby's in silence.
Once there, we both head inside and take our usual seats at the bar.
"....Good evening." Grillby greets.
"Hey, Grillby. Would ya mind getting me an order of ketchup?"
He nods, heading into the kitchen to get some. Shortly after, he returns with a bottle.
"I'm surprised that you still enjoy this as much as when you were a skeletal monster," he says as he hands the bottle to me.
"My tastes haven't really changed at all," I state as I take a drink of ketchup.
Grillby just nods and goes to tend to his other customers.
I look over at Frisk, who seems a bit tense. "Hey, want anything? You can put it on my tab," I offer.
"N-no thanks.." she says, looking down at the counter.
For a few moments, we sit in silence, until I say something to try starting a conversation. "Y'know, it's a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming...days like these are great for walks."
She nods, still looking away from me.
After a few more attempts to strike up a conversation, I finally realize that I probably won't have any luck. With a heavy sigh, I stand up.
"Look, kid..I'm not really sure what I did, but I can tell you've been pretty uncomfortable around me the past few days," I say as I walk towards the exit.
"You don't need to push yourself to hang out with me, I get it. You don't have to worry anymore..I'll leave you alone."
"Sans, wait," I hear her yell as the door closes behind me.
I close my eyes and let out another sigh before walking towards the forest that Frisk and I had gone to.
Once there, I lay back against an old oak tree.
"I guess I shouldn't've asked her to come out with me today..I ended up saying something I'm probably going to regret.."
I look up towards the sky, which has very few clouds scattered around.
"I don't really know what to do anymore.." I say to myself. Suddenly, I feel my eyes stinging and something running down my face. I wipe my face, feeling something wet on my hand. (Am I..crying?)
I let out a small chuckle as I let the tears continue to flow. "I never thought I'd care for anyone enough to cry other than Papyrus."
I close my eyes, feeling tired.
(I guess that's it, huh? I just successfully ruined my friendship with Frisk..)
After thinking that, I feel myself drifting off as a few more tears run down my face.

~Frisk's POV~
Over the last few days, I've been kind of awkward around Sans. The mix of the embarrassment from Monday night and the fear of confessing to him has kind of made me distance myself from him.
"I'm an idiot.." I say to myself as I stare up towards the ceiling of my bedroom.
I let out an annoyed sigh, rolling over onto my side. Just as I get comfortable my phone rings.
I look at the caller ID to see that it's Sans.
After a few rings, I hesitantly answer it.
"Hello..?"
"Uh..hey, kid. Since today's my last day as a human..I was wondering if you'd wanna celebrate with me."
(It's already Thursday?!)
"Oh, uh..sure," I say, thinking. (Today's the last day I have to confess. This week went by too fast..)
"Alright. Is it okay if I pick you up in about thirty minutes? Since it's already 4pm, I'd like to go soon so we have time to actually enjoy ourselves before it gets too late."
"That's fine, I can be ready by then."
"Alright. See ya in a bit."
"You too."
After we hang up, I stare at my phone for a few minutes before heading over to my closet and trying to find something pretty to wear. I pick out a long, pink shirt with two light blue stripes and a pair of black leggings.
After getting dressed, I brush my hair and teeth, then put on pink lipgloss and a little bit of perfume that mom had bought for me a long time ago.
After I head down stairs and put on my shoes, I hear a knock at the door.
(Okay, I can do this.) I think to myself as I open the door. When I look up at him, I feel all of my nervousness coming back. However, I give him a shy smile, trying to stay calm.
"H-hey, Sans!"
He seems to stare at me for a moment before saying "Y-you look nice today, Frisk."
"Thanks," I say, closing and locking the door.
The two of us get into the car and drive to Grillby's in silence.
Once there, we both head inside and take our usual seats at the bar.
"....Good evening." Grillby says as we sit down.
I nod at him in response before zoning out. (Why am I so nervous? I mean..if he really does like me, he'll probably say it back, right? But if he doesn't..)
"Hey, want anything? You can put it on my tab," I hear Sans offer, getting my attention for a moment.
"N-no thanks.." I say as I stare at the counter.
For a few moments, we sit in silence, until Sans finally speaks. "Y'know, it's a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming...days like these are great for walks."
I only nod in response, still looking away from him.
(Come on, Frisk..TALK to him!)
After a few more minutes of silence, I hear Sans give a heavy sigh. I look over to see that he's now standing.
"Look, kid..I'm not really sure what I did, but I can tell you've been pretty uncomfortable around me the past few days," he says, walking towards the exit.
"You don't need to push yourself to hang out with me, I get it. You don't have to worry anymore..I'll leave you alone."
"Sans, wait," I shout, trying to get him to come back. I stare at the door in shock for a minute while what he said sinks in. As I turn around towards the bar, I feel my face heat up as tears threaten to fall.
Grillby walks over to me, handing me a tissue with his hand gloved so that he doesn't burn it. "Frisk, what seems to be going on between the two of you? You usually seem very happy when you're together."
I accept the tissue and wipe my eyes some before taking a deep breath and explaining the situation.
"I..found out over the weekend that Sans likes me. I tried confessing to him Monday, but got interrupted. Then that night, something happened that really embarrassed me. Because of those two things, I haven't had the confidence to even hardly talk to him, let alone confess."
"You are aware that today is his last full day as a human, are you not?"
I nod in response.
"The way I see it, you have two options: Hurry and confess to him before it is too late, or do not confess and risk regretting it for the rest of your life."
(He's right..I need to do this!)
I look up at him, smiling. "Grillby..I know you're not usually one to talk much, so I really appreciate this. You're completely right. I need to suck it up and confess if I really want to be with him."
I stand up and say goodbye to him before exiting the restaurant.
Once outside, I try calling Sans. Unsurprisingly, he doesn't respond.
(Guess I'll have to go look for him.)
"Alright. If I was Sans...where would I be?"
