The next morning, I wake up to my phone going off. I answer it without checking the caller ID.
"Hello..?"
"Sans, did you just wake up?!" Frisk asks in surprise.
"Yeah, why?"
"It's 1:30pm!"
I sit up, rubbing my eyes with my free hand. "Sorry. I didn't sleep very well last night."
"It's okay. So, uh..is it okay if we hang out today?"
"Well..Paps told me he already had plans today.."
"It's okay with me if it's just the two of us. It was there for a few weeks anyway. Unless..you'd prefer to wait until he can come?"
"It's okay with me if it's okay with you. Let me get dressed and I should be there in about thirty minutes."
"Okay! See you soon."
After getting dressed and picking up Frisk, the two of us head to the nature park.
"It's been a few weeks since we've been here. I kinda missed it," Frisk admits.
"Yeah, it's peaceful.."
The two of us walk around for a while before sitting at one of the benches in the center of the forested area.
I had been off in my own world most of the day, thinking back to everything that's happened the past couple of days. Especially the talk that Papyrus and I had last night.
After a while, I notice Frisk's hand waving in front of my face, causing me to snap back to reality.
"Sans?"
"Oh, sorry. What's up?"
"Sans, what's wrong? You seem kind of spacey today."
"You see..." I trail off, wondering whether or not I should tell her.
(If she really does like him, it could really hurt her. But..I guess it's better to tell her now that make her find out on her own.)
"It's about Papyrus. He said last night that..he probably won't be around much the next few weeks. He has a lot planned.."
Frisk looks down, saying "Oh, I see.." before looking back at me and smiling. "I..guess we'll just have to hang out even more to make up for the loss of a person in our group, huh?"
I look at her in confusion, but she only smiles back at me.
(Darn..she's too cute. The way her eyes are sparkling from the sunlight, and her smile is perfect..)
I blush a little while admiring her. I didn't even realize that I was staring at her until she says "Whys your face blue..?"
I quickly turn my head away to where she can't see my face. "I-it's just..kinda hot out here."
"Really?" Out of the corner of my eye, I see her look up towards the sky and smile once again. "I think the weather feels nice today.."
I look back over at her, a question popping into my head. "Hey, I'm curious about something.."
"Hm? What's that," she asks, looking back at me.
"Well, I know that my brother originally wanted to ask you if just the two of you could go the the amusement park together. He said that you asked if I could come, too, because it's more fun with the three of us. So..why are you so okay with him not being with with us now?"
"W-well, uh..it's just..
I mean, he's got a lot of new friends now, right? I want him to have fun and make a lot of memories. Th-that's all.."
"I see.." (Is that really why? If I was her, I'd probably be jealous that the person I like is hanging out with other girls..)
"Yep.."
After a moment of silence, I take on a deep breath and stand up. "Well, it's getting kinda late. How about we head home?"
"Oh, right.."
On the way back to the car, neither of us really talked. The car ride to her house was mostly quiet, too. The only time we really talked was to say our goodbyes..

~Frisk's POV~
Today's a really nice day. Sans and I are hanging out, mostly just walking around and enjoying each others' company. After a few hours, we decide to sit down at one of the benches at the sitting area on the center of the forest.
I look over at Sans, who seems to be somewhere else in his head.
(Come to think of it, he's been pretty spaced out all day..)
"Sans, what's wrong..?"
No answer.
I decide to try waving my hand in front of his face to get his attention. "Sans?"
He finally seems to snap out of it, turning his head towards me. "Sans, what's wrong? You seem kinda spacey today."
"You see...It's about Papyrus. He said last night that..he probably won't be around much the next few weeks. He has a lot planned.."
I look down, not sure of what to say. "Oh, I see.." (I wish he wasn't always so busy..but..at least I still have Sans with me, right?)
I look back and smile at him. "I...guess we'll just have to hang out even more to make up for the loss of a person in our group, huh?"
He gives me a look of confusion, to which I only reply by smiling again. He seems to stare at me for a few minutes, his face turning a light blue tint. "Whys your face blue," I ask.
He quickly turns his head away, saying "I-it's just..kinda hot out here."
"Really?" I look towards the sky, watching the clouds slowly float by. "I think the weather feels nice.."
I notice him turn his face back towards me, so I do the same.
"Hey, I'm curious about something.."
"Hm? What's that?"
"Well, I know that my brother originally wanted to ask you if just the two of you could go the the amusement park together. He said that you asked if I could come, too, because it's more fun with the three of us. So..why are you so okay with him not being with with us now?"
"W-well, uh..it's just.." I hesitate, trying to find the right words. "I mean, he's got a lot of new friends now, right? I want him to have fun and make a lot of memories. Th-that's all.."
"I see"
"Yep.." (There's absolutely NO way that I can tell him the truth..he might hate me for it..)
He takes in a deep breath and then stands up. "Welp, it's getting kinda late. How 'bout we head home?"
"Oh, alright."
The rest of our time together is sort of..awkward. We hardly talk, except to say goodbye. I go inside and up to my room, laying down on my bed. "So it'll mostly just be the two of us for a while, huh..?"
I roll over onto my side. "I wonder if I'll be able to keep my feelings hidden, with us being alone together so much.."
