Louis
"Really, I didn't mean to upset you. I know it's been hard for you, baby. It's been hard for all of us, really. Especially for your dad." I explain.
Damn it. I didn't mean to upset her. Harry would probably have my head if he finds his little girl crying.
It's been three long years since the love of Harry's life passed away; the only girl he irrevocably and undeniably loved - one he'd take a bullet for. Ever since she left, our lives have changed beyond measure. It was a 'thing' we all agreed upon. Melody was the glue that held everyone intact.
"Are you okay?" I mumble as I park the car.
"Yep" she sighs and unbuckles her seatbelt.
I shake my head and unlock the car doors.
"Sorry" she mumbles, her brown curls a lighter color in the afternoon sunlight. The tension in the small space rises as both of us remain silent.
"Go on in. Make yourself at home" I fake a smile, knowing I made a mistake by bringing up a painful past.
Her green eyes are glossy and she tries to smile. You just needed to mess up, didn't you Louis?
She gets out of the passenger seat, her hands in her pockets.
I truly am, sorry Darce.
Darcy
"Aunt El, I'm fine. Really" I stifle a laugh as she goes through the kitchen, looking for a snack.
Whenever I came here, Aunt Eleanor would always make sure I had something to eat and she even allowed me to play FIFA. This was one of the reasons why she's also my favorite Aunt, along with Uncle Loubear being my favorite Uncle. Now don't get me wrong. I love all of my aunts and uncles but these two were the closest to Dad and Mom. Apart from Uncle Ni, of course. He was practically there for Mom when Dad wasn't.
"Hey beautiful" Uncle Louis comes in, bringing my school bag and places it on the island. He walks over to Eleanor and gives her a quick kiss on the forehead.
"Where's Lyla?" He asks, smiling so brightly at her.
"Asleep. It's her nap time. So no FIFA. I know how noisy you get when she beats you" she chuckles, moving her eyes to me and Uncle Louis.
"Sucks for us" he pouts and gives me a high five. Yeah, I may have been pissed with him but there are things that we just agree upon.
"Whe- what? Beats me?" He crosses his arms over his chest.
"The girl has skills, Lewis." She teases and turns to face me, leaving a pouting Uncle Lou.
"So, how are you princess?" She asks and pours me a cup of Yorkshire Tea.
"I'm feeing better. Sort of" I admit to Eleanor. The painful memories of losing my mom flashback to me.
"It's going to be okay, baby" I hear Eleanor before getting lost in the fading memories of my mother.
