Once Before
I remember,
It seems so familiar as before,
Do I care?
Once before it made smile,
Once before it made my day,
Once before I felt loved,
Once before I felt lucky,
Once before it made me a believer,
Once before it made me one of them.
But no more does it say to me,
I cannot feel the same way now,
I have seen what your race can do,
I want none of it,
Unless one of you are to rise above,
For I have lost all want,
So they say I am heartless.
Once before I did have one,
But now no more...
