Hide and seek

( Emmys P.O.V)

I could smell her rancid blood from 100 miles away. It was too strong to cope, she was near. DarkLix was back.

Then I remembered, I had left Katy on her own to pick berries.

I smelt Katy out. Unfortunately she was right near DarkLix. I raced back to where she was. All I kept thinking was "What if I'm too late?" I didn't want to lose anyone else.

Luckily I spotted Katy alone near a blackberry bush.

I pounced on her and we both landed in the bush.

She started screaming "Ahhhhhhh! don't kill....me? Emmy why did you do that!! you scared me!" I explained what's was happening and why I threw her into a bush.

She gasped and threw her arms around me, "Your gonna get a big bear hug for saving me!" She laughed despite the situation. I cringed at the thought of a bear giving me a hug.

Then it hit me. That scent again. She was getting closer.

I covered Katy's mouth and we both waited. I hated the waiting game.

Suddenly we both heard her. DarkLix was close "Oh so you want to play hide and seek. I'm up for that" she said in a malicious voice as she circled the bush.

I was breathing so heavily. Me and Katy were about to make our move when suddenly Katy was lifted out of the bush.

I leaped out to find Katy being held by DarkLix. It sickened me watching her get pleasure out of Katy's fear.

I was about to go for DarkLix, when suddenly Katy gave a cry. "Emmy please don't risk it!!" She screamed.

I could tell she was worried for my safety. But why?! She was the one in danger!

"What should I do then!! I cant run! I cant save you! What else is there to do!!??" I screamed back. I could feel tears forming in my eyes.

 DarkLix smiled. " you have two choices Emmy....try to save your little friend or try to run away and we can have a nice game of cat and mouse"

she said as she looked at Katy.

I could see in Katy's eyes she had an idea. Suddenly Katy started to yell  "Emmy!! Change and fly away!! She cant get you while she's holding me!!" Even though her life was on the line Katy was still smiling. DarkLix watched us argue with a amused smile plastered on her face.

I couldn't help it anymore. I burst out in tears. "I cant!! I made a promise to myself!!" I said in between sniffles. "Just do it!! Please!!?" She asked slightly annoyed.

No. I couldn't... She doesn't understand.

Yay!!! Will Katy survive? (probably because if I killed Bella's character she would probably kill me :-)  ) Anyways this chapter was written by me lil_minnie!!! The next chapter will be written by bellamonkey246... I cant wait!!!!
