We meet again

chapter 4

**later that afternoon**

I walk back to my dorm when I see a girl standing in the hallway passing out flyers, she approaches me with a smile "Hi I'm ashley, here is a flyer inviting you to a party hosted by my sorority" she says 

I give her a fake smile and walk to my room where I see Ronnie sitting on the couch with a few unexpected guests "H..hi" I say examining all of their faces 

"Reese, Avalon whoever you are sit down we want you to explain" carson demands 

I sit down across from them "Well I guess I'm busted" I say trying to lighten the mood 

"explain" carson demands again 

"what do you want to know?" I ask 

"everything" cameron says 

"Okay well the day Michael kidnapped me I thought I was going to die, but I managed to get away and find my brothers. they knew how big of a threat michael was to my life and the lives of everyone around me, so they stole a body from the morgue put it in my place and took care of michael" I say 

"so why didn't you tell us? we could have helped you" ella says

"I wanted to, but at that point the more people that knew the more attention it brought to me" I say

"we thought you were dead!" Caleb shouts obviously angry 

"I know and I'm so so sorry for what I did but it's what I had to" I say fighting tears

"I can't believe I wasted time mourning you" Caleb mutters to himself and he gets up and leaves my dorm

"I'll go check on him" Ella says leaving 

I look at carson and cameron with pleading eyes "I can't do this either" carson says leaving as well and ronnie follows her

I move next to cameron "I'm so sorry" I say between sobs 

"It's okay" he says in a soothing voice

I wipe my tears from my eyes "It's not okay Cameron, what I did destroyed my friendship with you guy, the only time I see my brothers is when they're helping me move from one place to another and what I did is eating me alive" 

"our friendship isn't destroyed" he says 

"yeah but my only other friends just walked out and they probably will never talk to me again, even my roommate who I've know for like three days left" I say 

"If you want to fix things with them quit throwing yourself a pity party and make it right" he says

"There is no fixing what I did" I say 

"There is always a way, call me if you need anything" he says leaving my dorm 

god what did I do? is all I can think about 

I couldn't just sit there replaying those past minutes in my head I needed a stress reliever and I knew exactly where to go. I get in my car and drive to Cade's bar and when I walk through the door I go straight to the bar "Sign me up for a few rounds" I say. Cade nods and in minutes I'm called to the ring 

"Okay both of you know the rule... ready, fight!" the announcer shouts 

I'm fighting a girl, she's around my size "Make the first move" she says and she didn't have to say it twice. I do a roundhouse kick to her head, knocking her to the ground, I get on top of her and start punching, one punch, two punch and five punches later she's out but I couldn't bring myself to stop. Six punch, seven punch and it would have been eight but the announcer pulls me off of her "She's out" he says

I already knew that, I stand there a my body heaves trying to catch my breathe and I stare at my opponents bloody and bruised face "Next" is all I say but no one answers me "Next!" I shout looking into the crowd trying to find someone to fight "No, that's enough fighting for you" the ref says leading me out of the ring. I sit at the bar when Cade approaches me 

"what can I get you" he says with a smile 

"the strongest thing you've got" I say

"Bring her a water" I hear someone behind me say and I got happy hoping it was someone from the gang ready to talk to me again but when I turn around I meet the angered faces of all three of my brothers.

"Reese what did I tell you" logan say with anger laced in his voice "It is to dangerous fo-"

I cut him off "Don't lecture me I'm not in the mood for your big brother bull shit" 

"Yeah well we aren't in the mood to have to bury you but we don't always get what we want" Logan says 

"Logan! I said I wasn't in the mood" I shout 

"Reese you are making a scene" Logan says

"I don't care you're not my dad so back off" I say 

"You're right I'm not your dad because he is dead and right now the three off us is all you've got"

"I can't take this" I mutter before getting up and leaving. I walk through the alley way before I stop and see someone standing at the end "It's nice to see you again" a manly voice says

"michael?" 

the figure walks closer until we were mere inches apart "Guess again" he says in a low voice before his fist connects with my face and knocks me into the brick wall, I swing and hit him in the jaw, he punches me in the stomach and my body folds and I can feel the blood run from my lips as I cough up more, I manage to straight and I drive his head into my knee "you little bitch" he hisses before he wraps his hands around my neck and slams me into the nearest brick wall, I try to fight him but my body won't let me but before I pass out I hear the alley door swing open and two sets of feet come to my aid but I can hear the pitter patter of the guys feet as he runs off.

"reese.. reese"  someone says as they shake my body but I don't respond

"Pick her up and bring her back to our place" The other voice says
