We meet again

chapter 15

I sit on the beach when Matt approaches me

"Hey sis" he greets

"Hey" I respond

"Not to make you mad or to put pressure on you but Logan wants an answer" he say and I can feel the sincerity in his voice

" I know and I don't know what to do because I'm head over heels for Caleb but I also don't want to put them in danger" I say playing with the sand

"Reese I think you should follow your gut feeling but you should also consider what's best for everyone" he say

"I know" I say

"Make sure you tell Caleb how you feel no matter what you decide because I don't want to see you work a broken heart" he finishes
and as we get up he gives me a tight hug

"I love you" I murmur

"I love you too" he murmurs in response

We walk together to the house and I see Caleb during at the table with Cameron and Will.

"Hey guys so I was thinking that we should go out tonight" Caleb says

"Where to?" I ask

"Oh we should definitely go to the fighting ring" Will says

We all murmur an agreement and I go upstairs to tell the others.
Once they are notified we head out, it takes about 20 minutes to arrive and when we do the sent of blood, sweat and vodka just punches you in the face.

***Caleb's POV***

Once we are inside we sit down at the bar well everyone but me and Reese because she pulls me aside

"Caleb can I talk to you, it's important" she says

"Yeah but it will have to wait, I left my wallet in the car" I say

She gives me a reluctant look but she let's me leave without saying anything. As I walk I'm approached by two guys in Black hoodies and we all know this isn't good news.
Once they reach me the first on throws a punch but I duck it and hot him in the gut and he doubles over. As he goes down I knew him in the face but the second one comes at my leg from behind with a bat, knocking me to the ground.
During that time the first one has gotten back up and punches me square in the face and while doing so he venomously says "this is for Michael" and that's the last thing I heard.

***Reese's POV***

I turn to Ronnie "hey Ronnie don't you think Caleb's been gone too long?" I ask

"Yeah it has been a while. So you want me to come with you to check on him?" She ask

"Sure let's go"

We swiftly walk out of the bar area and to the parking lot where I see Caleb's beaten and bruised face unconscious.

I make sure not to panic, I inhale sharply "Ronnie go get the others" I say, and she wishes in side.

Everyone is outside in minutes and the guys carry him to the car as I drive. We make it back to the beach house in fifteen minutes instead of twenty.

"Okay guys get him on the couch and someone help me find the first aid kit" I commend and everyone scurries their different ways.

Once Caleb is on the couch I try to wake him up which kinda works. He keeps coming in and out muttering random things. We fix him up to our best ability and let him rest.

****Next day****

Before breakfast which is really like lunch because it's almost noon, I look for Logan. Once I find him I pull him aside

"As you know today is our last day of break and as you also know you have been pressuring me to give you an answer: do I stay here or do I leave. And I just want to tell you I've made up my mind" I say
