Chapter 3

Alexis's pov:

I sat in math class waiting for the bell to ring lunch. I kept tapping my pencil on my math book, probably annoying a lot of my classmates.

We got interrupted by our principle walking in with a boy. I knit my eyebrows together looking at the boy carefully. He looks so familiar. I watch Principle Brown talk to out math teacher. I could already hear the girls squealing about how cute the new guy is, while I just stared at the guy looking intensively. His blue eyes, spiked up brown hair but something about his is so familiar. His SnapBack! The Chicago Bulls SnapBack he's wearing. It's the exact same one I gave Drew for his 14th birthday. I shook my head knowing it couldn't be Drew. He moved 4 years ago. He said he would never come back and I also have a amazing boyfriend. I guess I have been staring at him for a while because his eyes landed on mine. Once our eyes lock, it felt like no one was around us. Then while stopped and it's just me and him. Snap out of it Alexis! You don't even know his name.

"Everybody! Can I have your attention please?" I snapped out of the boys gaze and payed attention to Principle Brown. "Alright class. This is our new student. Why not you introduce yourself"

He sent Principle Brown a nod before introducing himself.

"Hi. My name is Drew"

Right when he said his name, I froze. I sat there in my seat numb. He's back. What is he doing back? He told me that we would never come back!

I slumped into my seat not wanting to hear his introduction. I can't believe he's back.

"Alexis. Do you have a problem?" Principle Brown asked.

"No. I'm perfectly fine" I snap looking directly at Drew.

"Alright. You can show Drew around then" She pushed.

I growled under my breath, not wanting to deal with Drew. My EX best friend. I could hear the other girls whispering how hot he is or how he looks so cute. The bell ran which meant it's lunch time. I gathered my belonging and met Drew up front.

"Hii there ..." He trailed off not knowing my name.

"It's Alexis" I snapped.

I notice his eyes widen and his jaw drop.

"Alexis. I've been trying to contact you since I left. I would call everyday but you wouldn't answer. How you been?" He asked, happily but I could hear the nervousness in his voice.

"I've been better, since you left. Why are you back anyways? Going to get together with Brittany?" I said with anger.

"I was just asking that's all and I really don't have feelings anymore with Brittany. It's been 4 years, Can I at least get a hug from my bes-"

"EX best friend" I cut off.

He shout his mouth and looked down.

"Why would you think we could be best friends after you broke my heart!!! That is just pathetic of you" I yelled at him, rolling my eyes.

"Let me just show you around so I don't have to deal with you anymore" I growled under my breath.

We went out to the football field and I could see a group of guys talking near the bleachers. I also saw Jordan there too. I waved at him and also blowing him kiss. He shot me a smile and playfully caught on, catching the kiss I blew at him. I giggled but stopped when I heard Drew's voice.

"Who's the guy?" He asked.

"He's my boyfriend" I said smiling.

"Oh" Was all he said.

After a while of silence, he asked me something that surprised me.

"Do you love him?" He asked, looking straight into my eyes.

Why is he asking me this? Of course I love him.

"Of course I love him" I said.

He stepped closer to me so we're inches a part, instead of a big gap. He moved a piece of my hair behind my ear. He stroke my cheek in circles with his thumb. I stared into his blue eyes that I fallen for 4 years ago. I started to get lost into his eyes. I notice him leaning closer. I could feel his breath hitting my face. I finally realized what was happening and moved away. He noticed too and scratched the back of his neck.

"Let's just continue the tour" I mumbled and kept walking.
