Chapter 32

Alexis's mPOV

*In A Coma*

I ran and ran to the light. It became brighter and brighter. My lungs are aching and so are my legs. I felt like I was running forever. The light is getting brighter and I could almost feel the sun hitting my skin but it was blocked by a figure.

"Brittany" I panted.

"Where do you think you're going bitch? I'm not done with you yet" She said.

She tried to grab me but I ran the opposite direction, to the darker side is what you can say. I kept running not knowing where I am going. I could hear Brittany's heels clicking. How can she run in those? Ahhh! Don't think of this now Alexis. Just keep running! I picked up my speed, trying to get away from the devil.

"Get back here you little bitch" Her voice screeched.

I could hear her heels slowing down behind me but I still kept running knowing Brittany will regain her breath and catch up. I saw a light opening up right in front of me. I could feel my lip curl up into a smile.

"I'm almost there" I whispered to myself.

I ran faster then ever ready to run into the light. I felt the light hit my skin, feeling the warmth from my cold body. I ran straight into it, to a white room. It took me a while to adjust the bright light to my eyes but I knew I was in a bright white room. I looked at my surroundings and yeah, I was right. I was in a bright white room.

"Anybody here!" I yelled.

My voice echoed and it felt like it was endless. I walked forward with my arms in front of me, wondering if there was a wall but no. It was a never ending room I guess. I dropped my arms and walking forward. I squinted my eyes when I saw a black figure.

"Hey! Can you help me?!" I yelled to the figure.

I walked up to the figure and tapped their shoulder.

"Can you plea-" I couldn't even finish my sentence. My mouth hung open but tears burning my eyes. "Grandma" I whispered.

"Sweetheart" She said before pulling me into a hug.

I sobbed into her chest, missing the feeling of her arms around me every time I would visit her. She died when I was 16 years old. It was hard to get over the her but there will always be a place in my heart for her. I always that she will always be with me by heart and spirit. The taught me a lot of things and I always wear her ring around my right ring finger. She told me to never wear it on my left ring finger because that's when a guy is suppose to take it. She would always tell me the story when her and grandpa met. Love at first sight was what she said. Grandpa was her best friend, her husband and other half. Grandpa died a year before grandma died. They're even buried right beside each other. They were inseparable when they were younger. They started out best friend back in grade 8 and finally got together in grade 11. When they were in their senior year, grandma was in a fire. Grandpa didn't care if he died but he went inside to save her. He got some burns and cuts but he said her would do anything to keep her lady safe. That was the day when grandpa gave her the ring that I'm wearing right now. He told her to wear it on her right ring finger because that's when he would officially make her his by putting a special ring on there. They were perfect.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, lifting my head up now looking at my grandma.

"I want you to wake up Sweetheart" She told me.

I was confused. Very confused.

"What are you talking about Grandma" I asked her.

"You don't know what's going on do you?" She asked.

"I'm dreaming. I'm asleep, Right?" I asked.

"Honey no. Brittany kidnapped you and beaten you until you were almost dead. Drew your boyfriend rescued you before you died but you slipped into a coma." She said.

"Why do I need to wake up so soon? I want to be with you for a while" I said.

She shook her head and stroked my cheek.

"It's been a year Honey. You've been in a coma for a year." She said that made my heart ache.
