Y/N's POV

There's one thing I've notice as the days pass by,

The crystal.

It hasn't showed any kind of sorcery these past few weeks. Other than, it can't be taken off. I've tried almost everything. Scissors, blades, knives, saw and a samurai sword. Don't ask where I got it.

The point is I'm afraid I'm going a bit insane because I see things that aren't even there. Like, the occasional night. Where I witness to believe that my eyes turn to change its color. Count the sudden magic as it did. It should be real, I saw it myself. Considering the fact I almost burn the comfort room down. But now, there's nothing.

No sign. No hint. No signal.

It's driving me nuts. I didn't even bother to touch it or look at it for too long. Everytime I do, I'm afraid it'll be a bizarre life. I'm still processing to make a conclusion. I mean, there has to be a reasonable explanation why it's happening. Right? It couldn't possibly be magic or whatsoever. It ceases to exist.

It's making me curious every minute passes, making me ask questions.

How did I trigger it?
Who possessed this before I got it?
Where did I get the idea of getting it?
Why did it happen?
When will it activate?
What is this thing?

Maybe it was the pressure I was on that night? I was so mad at Lucas that I begin to see illusions? I'm not so sure. The last time I got so mad was with Marco. My rage was tense. It wouldn't have been tense if I didn't blow up the experiment and storm off the room.

Now, that I think of it. It was... embarrassing. But I don't exactly regret it. My jealousy became the bridge of our special relationship. More or less. We're not official yet. We just hang out and stuff like that. Nothing serious.

It's taking too long though.

I flip over my bed and touch the end of the crystallized structure with my fingertips. The string that I used wasn't part of it. So, why is it attached? Why can't I cut off? This is really confusing. My life is confusing.

First, we moved and I got into another school.
Second, I meet Marco and coincidentally go to the same school as Lucas.
Third, I see a crystallized jewelry.
Fourth, I have amazing friends but everyone is obsessed with me overnight.
Fifth, I like Marco.
Sixth, an occasion is gonna happen.
Seventh, I invite Marco.
Eighth, I decide to wear the diamond on the occasion which turns out to be a illusion-making device that magically turns your eye color to several colors.
Ninth, Lucas and I fought.
Tenth, I can't take off the necklace-made diamond.
Eleventh, Xandra comes into the picture.
Twelfth, I get jealous. I confessed my feelings, he confessed as well.
Thirteenth, I'm paranoid because of a necklace.

I've said too much. I sigh, massaging my temples.

I really need to get my mind off things.

My phone rings its ringtone loudly. It's a phone call, someone's calling. I bet it's Marco. I instantly stretch my hand out to get it from my desk lamp. I view the name.

"Called it! Literally." I chuckle to myself and click 'Answer'.

"Hey Marco! What's up?" I start, crossing my arms while holding the phone to my ear.

"Hi, Y/N. Sorry to call you in short notice," He apologetically greets.

"Oh, it's cool. It's totally fine. So, why'd you call?" I ask, getting straight to the point.
