Once we were done, he paid for our food - much to my protest - and led us out to his car.

"I could have paid for mine."

"You could have, but I wanted to," he said, opening my car door and lightly patting my back. "Stop complaining. I would say think of this as a date, but it wasn't really what I had in mind."

"Okay." I bite my lip.

He leant forward once I was buckled in and kissed me. "Want to go back to yours?"

"Yeah, now what did you and my dad talk about, I have yet to get an answer." He scratched the back of his neck. "Tell me, Owen." I pouted. "Please?" I beg. "Is it that bad that I can't know?"

He shook his head. "Don't worry about it, Lani-bear."

"No, tell me." I put my hand over his. "Please."He pulls into my driveway. He helps me out the car and leads me up to the front door. "Please?" I beg.

"If your dad doesn't want to tell you, Lani-bear..." he looked at me and sighed.

"Fine." I cross my arms over my now, large chest.

Owen trailed his eyes over me before looking away, I couldn't help but bite my lip. I open the door and walk in.

"Lani, is that you?" My mum called, appearing in the door way.

"Yes."

"Thank god. Your father can stop pacing a hole in the kitchen floor." She gestured for me to follow behind her. "Oh, Owen, I didn't see you there." I walk into the kitchen seeing my dad, doing exactly what my mum said.

"Lani, I cannot believe you left like-" my dad stopped when he saw Owen behind me. "Owen, what are you doing here?"

"I brought Lani home."

My dad looked at me. "Are you two okay now?"

"I think so." I looked over my shoulder at Owen, who was looking down at his feet.

"I have to go to the bathroom." I state and I rush up the stairs. After I'm finished, I walked down the steps and listened to my dad and Owen talking.

"She keeps asking what we talked about."

"Have you told her?"

"No, she says you wont tell her either."

I heard my dad sigh. "I don't know whether to tell her or not," Owen said. "If you don't want me to, I won't.

"Do you think that she should know?"

"Its up to you, Mr. James," Owen replied. I sighed. What did those boys talk about?

I hear my mum's voice. "Oh just tell her already, and if you aren’t going to, then dont." I gritted my teeth, annoyance settling in. My mum knew as well? I throw my hands to my sides, Ow! My wrist. I walk into the kitchen and get an ice pack, not caring if they are in there.

"Lani-bear?" Owen concerned voice met my ears. "What happened?"

"Its just my wrist, I'm fine." I say. "I need my brace is all, mum where is it?"

"In the bathroom, I put in the basket under the sink." I walked out the kitchen and up the stairs, the sound of someone following behind me made me look over my shoulder.

Its Owen.

Once the bathroom door was shut, he pulls me against him. "Just a quick hug," he murmured.

I wrap my arms around him. "What's this for?"

"Aren't I allowed to hug you?" He asked quietly, his lips pressed against my hair.
