When I wake up, I'm still on Owen's chest and he's snoring lightly which means he'll be asleep for awhile. I smiled and kissed his chest lightly before sitting up. After checking on the twins, I went downstairs to get a drink. I bring my juice upstairs and turn my TV on quietly. I sat down in front of the bed and bit my lip as I heard Owen shifting behind me, I stayed still, not knowing if I woke him up or not. I hope he stays asleep because he really needs it.
I looked up at him to see a pillow against his chest and a small smile on his face. I hear a small quiet sound and over to the twins. Matt is up. I pick him up and check his diaper. I bring him over to the changing table and change him. The I put him back in the crib and look at Nicole who is now awake. I change her diaper too. I kissed her stomach and grinned, she was adorable. I looked over at the crib to see Owen picking up Matt, making funny noises and tickling his stomach.
"Morning sleepy head." I grin at Owen.
He smiled over at me. "Why didn't you wake me?"
"You were sleeping so peacefully I didn't want to wake you."
He walked over to me and kissed me. "I would have woken up to help you with the twins, Lani-bear."
I kiss him back. "They just got up."
He took Nicole from me. "Let's go get you some food," he said softly to her. I smile and I get Matt.
We walked down stairs and into the kitchen. Owen sat down on one of the chairs while I got out the bottles. I make up the bottles and hand one to Owen. He smiled and pulled on my hand until I was in front of him. I bent down and kissed him before feeding Matt. He grins and feeds Nicole. I watched him as I leant against the counter and kissed my little baby's forehead. Matt doesn't finish his bottle quickly. Owen put the bottle to the side and patted Nicole's back gently. I smile as I watch him, he was great with kids. I look at him while burping Matt.
He looked over at me. "What's wrong?" He asked, raising his eyebrow and frowning.
"Nothing." I tell him. "You're just so good with kids."
He smiled. "So are you, Lani-bear." I kiss his cheek and look down at Nicole. I felt my heart tug as I saw a smile on her face and her eyes closed. She was beautiful. I rock Matt a little and watch him and Nicole. Owen wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my arm.
I kiss the top of his head and smile. "Lets go put them in bed." He nodded and stood up, leading me up the stairs. Once Nicole and Matt were in their cribs, I pulled Owen towards the bed and dropped down.
"If you're tired you should sleep." I tell him.
He shook his head and kissed my forehead. "I'd rather stay awake and talk to you," he said softly, running his finger down the side of my face.
"Talk to me about what?" I ask softly.
"Everything," he murmured, leaning closer and kissing me softly. "Me, you, the twins, our families. Everything."
I kiss him back and lay close to him. "Okay."
He ran his fingers through my hair and kissed my head. "What first?" He asked quietly.
"You pick baby," I murmur.
"What do your parents honestly think about us?" He asked softly, barely talking above a whisper.
"I dont know." I say. "My dad...why is he...he's always so mean to you for some reason and I don't get why. He never had a problem with you before."
"I've made his baby girl grow up faster than he liked," Owen barely whispered. I frowned and looked up at him.
"I'm always going to be his baby girl, he knows that."
"His baby girl with her own babies to care for, a guy whose asked for her hand in marriage. Lani, I can understand why he's not actually my number one fan at the moment."
"He's been like this for more than three months.."
He sighed. "How long were you pregnant, Lani?" I felt him shake his head. "Of course he's annoyed with me."
I stroke his cheek and kiss his nose. "Owen, I love you and our babies. Nothing will change that. If something, anything is bothering you, you can talk to me."
He nodded and smiled. "I'll talk to you, Lani-bear."
"Will you tell me what my dad said to you at the hospital?"
He frowned. "It was nothing."
"You promised you would tell me, Owen," I murmured. "Owen, tell me."
He sighed. "He just, sort of, threatened me not to knock you up any time soon."
"We already know that's not going to happen."
He grinned and pulled me closer. "Oh, you never know," he said before gently biting my shoulder.
"So not funny, Owen." I say.
He chuckled. "Sorry, Lani-bear," he said, kissing me softly. I kiss him back and pull him closer. He sighed and hugged me. "Love you," he said softly against my hair.
"You, too," I murmured back sleepily. I fall asleep, though it should be him falling asleep.
