When I wake up the next morning, I was pretty much tangled around Owen, who had a faint smile on his face. "Hey." I say.
"Good morning," he murmured, kissing the tip of my nose. "Sleep okay?" He asked, keeping his voice quiet, matching the silence of the room.
"Yeah. Did you sleep?"
He nodded. "Yeah, I got some sleep." I was tempted to bring up his conversation he had with my dad last night. What had he agreed to, the moving in or the marriage?
"Good." I tell him. "It seems like you haven’t been getting much sleep."
He shrugged the best he could. "I suppose."
"What's wrong?" I asked, running my thumb along his bottom lip.
"I just worry about you." he rubs my belly so I know that he's including Nicole.
I frowned. "You shouldn't worry! We're both fine."
"I know but that still doesn’t stop me from worrying. I read that book of my mom's."
I lifted my head and brushed my lips against his. "Thank you for worrying, Owen. But we're both fine, we will be." He pulls me closer, holding me close. I sighed with a smile on my face, just laying here was perfect. He kisses my head and rubs my belly. I shift against him to get more comfortable.
"You alright?" he asks.
"Yeah, fine." I smiled and kissed his chest. He nods and keeps me close.
"What do you want to do?" He asked softly, trailing his fingers along my spine and smiling.
"Can we just lay here for a little bit?"
"Of course we can," he murmured, pulling me closer to him and lightly kissing my neck. I smile softly. I felt my eyes slide close as he trailed his finger along my side and my back. That feels really good.
"It sounds like you're purring," Owen commented, his eyes glittering in amusement. I blush a bit.
I gently bit his shoulder. "Shut up."
He chuckles and kissed down my neck. "Not that its a bad thing," he whispered. I move closer to him as he kisses my neck. I bit down on my lip to stop myself from making a noise. He grins, knowing what I'm doing. "You know you want to," he murmured against my ear. I bite my lip some more. He met my gaze and kissed me, both of us watching each other. I smile against his lips, pulling him closer. He moaned as I slowly trailed my hand down his chest. I grin and pull him closer.
He chuckled and kissed along my jaw. "Unless you plan on not getting out of bed for the next few hours, maybe we should stop," he said, trailing tempting kisses down my neck to my stomach. I nod and pull back. He's so right, and we have to go to school. He pouted. "I was hoping you would stay in bed."
"We have to go to school."
"We can go in late," he said quietly, pulling me flat against him and kissing my neck.
"Mm, okay." I smile, pulling his head to mine and kissing him. I felt him grin against my lips. I pull him as close as possible. Eventually, Owen let me get out of bed and take a shower, where he threatened to join me, again. He doesn’t join me though, which makes my shower shorter and gives me more time to eat.
When I walked down stairs in my t-shirt, waiting for my hair to dry, I found Owen making breakfast. I smile seeing him. He's so sweet.
"Going to school in just the t-shirt?" He asked when he looked over his shoulder at me.
"No." I blush.
"Shame, I like it." He grinned.
"And you want other guys to see me like this?"
He frowned. "No, actually, I don't. I want you all to myself," he murmured the last part, lightly kissing me.
I kiss him back. "Dont worry hon, I'm wearing a skirt today."
"They can still see your legs." He kissed along my jaw.
"Its a long skirt Owen."
"That's better." He grinned before kissing me, again. "Come on, I made you breakfast."
"Thanks," I kiss his cheek and sit down, starting to eat. He started eating his breakfast as well, shooting me glances every so often. "What?" I asked after catching him for the fourth time.
"Nothing Lani-bear."
I frowned. "Okay?" He leans across the table and kisses my cheek.
"Come on, I don't want to be even more late." He takes care of our stuff and we head upstairs to get ready.
When we arrived at school, it was already first break. We met Jake and Elliott under one of the trees. "Late night?" Jake teased, raising his eyebrows.
"Shut up and no." I say.
"Or they just didn't want to get out of bed," Elliott said to his best friend, snickering.
"I couldn’t sleep." I say. "Its hard for me to sleep with a big belly." The duo rolled their eyes and said nothing. They knew why me and Owen didn't get out of bed straight away. I sit down, carefully.
"You okay?" Elliott asked as Owen and Jake started up a conversation.
"Yeah, sitting and standing and everything is just getting much harder."
"Don't worry, she'll be out soon." He grinned and pulled me into a sideways hug.
I smile and hug him. "Just wait until she starts kicking, I'm not going to be fun to be around."
He chuckled. "Then its our hint she's going to be ready to come into the world soon."
I laugh. "Nice." He winked and leant back against the tree, watching me.
"Well I sure hope that Uncle Elliott and Uncle Jake will be good to her." I smile.
"Uncle?" Elliott grinned. I nodded. "Great!" He pulled me into a hug and kissed my cheek.
I beam. "You're on of my best friends, of course."
"I can't wait," he said quietly, tightening his hold.
I smile. "Me either." I heard someone clear the throat, making Elliott jump and move away from me. I frowned as I looked at him. Why'd he do that? I frown more.
Jake looked at Elliott, they looked like they were having a silent conversation. "You okay?" Owen asked me, watching me.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
He nodded and looked at the silent boys. I followed his gaze to watch the boys. "We'll be right back," Jake told us, standing up.
"Okay."
"Wonder what's up with them?" I said, watching them walk away.
Owen shrugs. "Dont have a clue." I squinted as I looked at him. He knew something but I didn't bother to press. I change my position trying to get comfortable.
Owen leant against the tree and lifted his arm for me to sit next to him. "Better?" He asked when I moved next to him.
"Yeah, much." I smile. "Thanks." He grinned and looked down at me, his gaze lowering to my lips. "Owen," I sigh. "We're at school."
"I know," he mumbled, not lifting his gaze. After a few seconds, he sighed and looked away.
I rub his arm. "I know its really hard, its hard for me too."
He nodded and kissed my temple. "Can't wait for it to be the holiday - we can go house hunting, shopping for baby clothes and other things. Just spend time together without worrying."
"Two weeks until then."
"Definitely can't wait," he murmured, pulling me closer to him.
"Me either."
He kissed my cheek and helped me up. "Off to first lesson." We headed inside and into our first lesson. I head to class and sit in my seat, waiting for class to start.
