I bolt upright when I hear someone calling my name. Who was it?
"Mum dad?" I call.
"Lani?" My door flew open and Owen stood there, his chest rising and falling fast.
"Yeah?" I say looking at him. A frown slipped onto my face. Why did he look like he's been crying? "Owen, what's going on?" He runs over to me pulling me into his arms and holding me tight. "What's going on?" I ask again. Elliott appeared in the doorway with Jake, both sighing. Owen murmured my name over and over again, kissing my neck softly each time. "Will someone tell me what's going on?" I asked, frowning.
"We thought something happened when you never showed up and we all called tons of times."
I frowned. "I only fell asleep for a few minutes..."
"Lani-bear, its been four hours." I opened and closed my mouth. Four hours? They all thought something had happened to me because I couldn't be bothered to go pick up the phone. Its my fault they were all so worried.
I hugged Owen back and murmured, "I'm so sorry."
"You're okay and that's all that matters Lani-bear."
I kissed his neck softly and looked up at the other boys. "I'm sorry, I should have phoned or something."
"Its okay we're just glad you're okay." Both boys walked over to my bed and pulled me into a hug. I sighed and closed my eyes. I wrap my arms around them, keeping them close.
"Well, now that we are here and we know you are safe, how about we watch a movie?" Jake suggested softly.
"Yeah, sounds great." Owen helped me up and looked at the boys, who nodded and left the room. Once the door was shut Owen looked back at me and kissed me slowly. I lean into and kiss him back.
"I was so worried," he murmured, lowering his eyes.
"I'm sorry Owen, I was just so tired..."
"I know, I'm sorry. I just-" he stopped and kissed me again.
"You dont have to be sorry," I tell him. "But about what, anyway?"
"When I thought something had happened to you." He shook his head, like he wanted to banish those thoughts from his mind.
"We're okay Owen, you dont have to worry anymore." I kissed him softly. He met my gaze and I felt a frown tug at my lips, so many emotions were in his swimming in his eyes. I pull him over to my bed and make him sit down. "Talk to me Owen."
He sighed. "I can't stop thinking about what I would do if anything happened to you," he said quietly, looking out the window.
"Owen," I take his hands and put them on my belly and putting my hands on his. "I'm perfectly fine and nothing is going to happen to me."
He took a deep breath through his nose and nodded. "I know, I'm sorry."
I frown. "Why do you keep saying sorry?"
"Because I'm being stupid? Because I always say the wrong thing or think the wrong things?" He shrugged and looked away from me.
"That is not true Owen." I say. He shrugged and wiped a hand over his face. "Okay that’s it!" I get on his lap. "Now talk."
"What do you want me to say?" He muttered, instantly grabbing my hips so I didn't fall backwards.
"What's on your mind?"
He looked down. "I'm just over thinking."
"About what?" I pressed. He mumbles. "Sorry what?" He rested his head against my shoulder and sighed. "Owen, tell me." I say. "Please Owen, you're starting to worry me."
