Marcie's POV:
Alec did himself big last night. I can't believe he did all of that for me; it was the most romantic thing I have ever experienced. Alec is really starting to turn around; I hardly even think about the basement days anymore. He's pampering me and showing me he is truly sorry and that counts in my book. Besides how can I be mad at the fact I got kidnapped by a gorgeous man that has me falling for him?
I loved it so much here in the mountains but Alec started packing his bags.
"Are we leaving already?" I sighed.
"Don't you want to see more places?"
I guess Alec was right, the mountains were beautiful but the rest of the world was out there waiting for us. I hopped in Alec's truck as he threw our bags in the truck bed. He sped off before I could even get my seat belt on. I looked over at him with a frustrated face. Sirens went off quietly in the distance as he spun around the twisting mountain roads.
"What's the hurry, I thought you actually wanted to see the world? You're going so fast everything is almost a blur!" I shouted.
He glanced over at me with an apologetic face. "I'm just excited, Marcie. I'm sorry." he pleated.
"Where are we going now?" I wondered aloud.
"Anywhere you want." he said quickly.
"Paris!" I shouted, laughing at the thought.
"Yes ma'am!" Alec agreed.
What? Wait really? Paris? Would he actually take me to Paris?
"Are you serious?" I asked dumbfound.
"Of course, anywhere for you." he exclaimed calmly.
I am in awe. Paris, the city of love. How wonderful would it be to be in the city of love with Alec.
"There's an airport about thirty minutes from here." he stated as he looked at my overly excited expression. I've never been out of the state before, let alone the country. Where is he getting the money for this? I don't even care. Paris!
Alec was still speeding down the twisting road; I slid left and right in my leather passenger seat as he made the quick, eager turns. The sun was straight overhead and softly warmed my skin as it gleamed through the trucks dirty windows. I laid my seat back and began to daydream about Paris. Warm pastry smells wafting through the cool breeze, Frenchman in black and white stripped shirts waved at me from bakery french doors. The Eiffel Tower in it's towering glory. Suddenly, I felt the truck swerve back and forth vigorously as I opened my eyes and sat up from my daydream. An eighteen wheeler came hurling towards us down the mountain road. Alec panicked, swerving right off the road through a guard rail. I watched in horror through the windshield as we flew down the cliff, as everything came to a halt.
I woke up nearly hanging upside down, my seat belt suffocating me against the leather seat of the truck. My head was pounding and my sight was blurry as I struggled to unbuckle myself. I looked all around me; there was no sight of Alec. I felt panicked. The windshield was smashed through as well as all the windows. My arms were riddled with glass shards and gooey blood. As soon as the belt unlatched from the holder, I fell through the broken windshield and landed into the snow covered ground. I took a few minutes to gather the strength I had to pull myself off the ground. I sat back in horror as I saw Alec's truck sitting straight up and down with the truck bed sticking straight up in the air. The front end was smashed into the ground. The back left tire was still spinning slowly. I looked around my surroundings; no sign of Alec anywhere.
"Alec!" I called as loud as I possibly could. There was a sharp pain in my chest that muffled my voice when I called out. I began to crawl as little droplets of blood dripped from my face onto the ground and soaked into the snow. It seemed like a century before I found Alec. His body was sprawled out, face first in the snow. As soon as I locked my sight on him I began sobbing uncontrollably. I army crawled over to him which was maybe five or six feet away. I yanked his body towards mine, rolling him onto his back as I prayed he was still alive. He had a large gash on his hairline that drooled blood down his face onto his neck, soaking his shirt. I shook him violently with everything I had. "Alec!" I shouted through my tears. "Alec, please be okay." I watched as his eyes moved slowly under his lids while he furrowed his brow. My heart stopped. He gasped for air and then coughed vigorously spraying my face with blood. He moaned as he opened his eyes slowly looking around and then making eye contact with me. His face was pure horror. I've never seen anyone look more horrified in their life. He began screaming out in pain and gripping my arm, sending the glass shards deeper into my skin which sent me into a screaming fit as well. So there we were, both at the bottom of a mountain, screaming to death at the pain we were in. His grip only got tighter and my vision got more blurry until everything faded, the pain, the noise, everything.
