Marcie's POV:

I was surprised I still had tears left to cry, but they were dwindling.  I soon found myself unable to push any more tears through my eyes and lifted myself off the ground and sat against the wall.  I was so dehydrated, my body trembled.  I felt so weak and useless; I needed to get some water in my system.  I wiped the rest of the tears from my face and sucked them from my hand.  I needed to save every bit of water I had left, that means no more crying.  I had to be strong from now on.

I sat in the dirt and drew little pictures with my finger.  I did anything I could to keep my mind occupied.  I drew myself jumping in leaves, writing in my journal, cooking myself dinner; the things I had previously took for granted.  I would do anything to have those things back again.  I layed my head back against the wall, I was done doodling in the dirt, it hurt too much to reminence over the things I will never get to do again.  I hummed softly, trying to keep myself from thinking.  I didn't know what to do.  I refused to go back to that bed, the blood stains just reminded me of my vain attempt to escape.

I layed myself back onto the floor slowly.  My back pressed up against the wall, and my cheek pushed against the cold dirt below.  I watched the dim light move around the room slowly, creating shadows that danced in slow motion.  Dust particles floated through the light beams and disappeared into the darkness.  I lay here until the light slowly faded away, between the trees.

I felt cold pellets dripping on my body, it made me shiver violently but I couldn't open my eyes, my body was so weak, I lay there motionless.  Some time passed before I noticed I wasn't laying on the ground anymore, I felt warm fabric brush against my  cheek as my head slowly moved up and down.  It took all the strength I had inside of me to even open up my eyes; everything was a big blur and it took me a while to get my eyes to focus on anything.  I finally realized I was back in bed; I looked up to see Alec's sleeping face. He craddled my body in his arms; he was warm but all the while I kept shivering.  I pressed my face into his chest softly for warmth, which woke him.  He brushed my hair back and held me close to him, rubbing my arms to get me warm.

"Marcie, are you ok?" he whispered softly, sleepiness in his voice.  "I came to check on you and you were laying in the snow.  I tried waking you but you wouldn't respond." he looked at me worried and waited for an answer.  I breathed slowly and swallowed hard trying to speak but every time I opened my mouth to let the words out, my lip would tremble uncontrolably.  After a couple of minutes of trying, Alec soon gave up on me and brought me closer to his chest.  I hated Alec so much,  I wish he would die horribly; but in this moment I didn't care how much I hated him.  I embraced his warmth and dug my face into his neck.

Although he wore a burgundy hoodie, a tattoo played peek-a-boo in the crevice of his neck.  I ran my finger over it slowly which brought goose bumps to Alec's skin.  "What are you doing?" Alec mummbled with his eyes closed.  There was a small chuckle in his voice and he turned towards me opening his eyes slowly.  I looked down embaraced and he smiled at me warmly.  "Are you touching my tattoo?"  I looked up at him again and shook my head.  "W-what is it?" I struggled to ask, shivering.  His eyes suddenly lit up as he slightly unzipped his hoodie to reveal the whole image.  There were black and white roses that wrapped from the back of his neck around to his right peck.  His chest barely peaked out from his hoodie and revealed its muscular structure.  I became lost in the flowers, it looked as if they were holding onto him, protecting him.  He turned something so delicate into something extremely manly and fierce.

He chuckled as I stared at his body in awe, which brought me back to reality.  I blushed hard as he slowly unzipped his hoodie, completely revealing his toned, tan skin.  He pulled me close into his bare chest and wrapped his jacket around me, craddling me like a baby.  His warmth radiated through me and hushed me to sleep.
