Marcie's POV:

"All you have to do is get most of Cains workers on board.  Make them feel like they're trapped here unless they do something about it." I suggested.  I could tell he was thinking really hard.

"Yeah, that's good." he said shaking his finger at me.  "But Cain is powerful.  People are going to die."

"Some times something that you really want comes with a sacrifice."

I knew this plan was crazy.  I was completely aware of the people that would die but right about now I was feeling selfish.  I had to stop all of this.  I couldn't be shipped away to some country to deliver drugs to people that were even more powerful than Cain.  Who knows if i'd ever come back?  I couldn't leave Alec behind, not in this hell hole.  I know he's the reason I'm here but he's the only person I have in my life.  I need him.

"He's got a group of three guys that are his best men.  They stick by his side through anything; they're basically tied to his hip.  I'm not going to be able to persuade them." Jackson said as if the plan fell through.

"I might be able to help with that." I finally said after minutes of thinking.  It was a long shot, and extremely dangerous but I knew Jackson couldn't do this all by himself.  He needed an innocent girl that no one would expect.  "But first, you need to take me to Alec." I watched as his face sunk down.

"We don't have time, you're being shipped off in the morning.  If we are going to do this we need to do it now!" he stress-fully said.  I just looked away and turnt up my nose like I wasn't doing anything till he obeyed.  It didn't take long before Jackson gave in and I just about clapped my hands like a happy school girl.

He tip-toed me down the brick halls.  Every time I felt like we were almost there, we'd turn down another long hall.  It felt as if we were just going in circles.  He whispered we were almost there when we heard foot steps coming towards us down the next hall.  Jackson grabbed my arm tight and twisted it behind my back sending shocks of pain up my shoulder.  I gasped as he covered my mouth hard pushing my head back against his chest and began walking me towards the foot steps.  We turned the corner as two large men walked towards us.

"Hey Jackson, what are you doing with the mule?" the left one said.

"Boss man wanted me to bring her to the lap for pictures before we checked her out." Jackson stated as I mumbled under his hand for help.  He pulled my arm back tighter which made me flinch.

"Oh yeah?  Alec sure does have good taste, she's a cutie." the other one said as he softly put a strand of hair behind my ear, his handing brushing against my face.  I turned my head quickly away. "Mind if I get one of those pictures?" he winked at Jackson and laughed as they began walking the other way.

Jackson kept pushing me down the hall, nearly braking my wrist with his strong grip until we got around the corner, finally releasing me.

"What the fuck is your problem!" I whispered loudly.

"Shh! I had to act normal.  Do you want everyone suspicious?" he clamped his hand back onto my mouth but I yanked it off immediately.  "Come on we're almost there." he whispered, motioning me towards a door at the end of the hall.

When we reached the end of the hall I peaked through the small jail cell bars on the top of the door.  Blackness.  Jackson quietly took the big ring of keys from his back pocket and began flipping through them until he came across the right one, jamming it in the lock hole.  It took a minute as he jiggled it around and I was getting really antsy.  Suddenly we heard another set of footprints coming down the hall at a fast pace.  Jackson quietly opened the heavy door and pushed my in the black room as he shuffled inside closing the door behind him careful not to make any sounds.  He grabbed me by the mouth and held me in the corner of the room by the door as we heard the door lock jiggle again.  I watched as the door swung open, cascading a bright sliver of light all the way across the room.  I followed it till my eyes met a body curled up in the corner.  Cain walked into the room and over to the body on the floor.

"You're out of the shackles again?" his deep voice roared in the echoing room as he lifted Alec off the ground by his neck and shoved him against the wall with a loud thud.  I gripped Jackson's arm hard, not believing what I was seeing.  Cain began chaining Alec's arms above him angrily.

"If I have to come in here one more time, I'm taking a gun to your head." Cain said through his teeth as he grabbed Alec's face and brought it inches from his.  Cain gave him a nice hard slap in the face as Alec's head just bobbed around lifelessly.  The sight was so horrifying that Jackson tightened his hand on my mouth to hide my heavy breathing.  Cain strolled out of the room with an evil half grin on his face, slamming the medal door creating ear piercing echos through the small brick room.  Jackson continued to hold me in the corner very still, listening to Cain walk away into the distance.  When we could barely make out the sound of his steps any longer he finally released me and I ran over to Alec's side.  He was slouched over on his knees, his arms tightly chained to the brick wall behind him.

"Alec.." I whispered through my tears as I cupped his face with my hands.

The jail bars on the door let in just enough light so I could make out details on his face.  His left eye was black and blue and badly swollen and his lip was busted up and had sent a line of blood running down his chin.  All he had on was shorts, his chest had whip lashes going in all different directions.  Seeing him up close made me loose my breath.  I couldn't be mad at him right now; not while he's in this condition.

"Marcie?" he whispered, barely audible.  He picked his head up from my hands and squinted his right eye in hopes to see better.
