I never really considered writing JinSon but I wanted to try something new. Writing this was... Idk, I cringed a lot because I'm so used to MarkSon.

Anyways.

Cold

It's winter here in Seoul and since my friends are somewhere on different areas on the planet, I have to spend my time locked up in my apartment like an animal.

Right now I'm alone at home with Coffee watching the first Mean Girls DVD. By the way, by Coffee, I meant my baby girl A.K.A. my puppy.

"Stop trying to make fetch happen..."

I laugh. When my friends get back, I'm going to use that word and see if any of them says that. Probably Bambam will say it, since he's the one that introduced me to Mean Girls.

Coffee was laying down on my lap and she was getting sleepy, so I decided to pet her so that she would sleep faster. "Coffee~" I cooe. "Should I sing a lullaby to my baby girl?"

Coffee's small, beady eyes suddenly open and she jumps off my lap, then scurries away.

"Coffee, wait!" I cry out. Well, I guess she doesn't want me to sing her a lullaby. Am I a bad singer? Eh.

I continue to watch with a frown since my smol baby girl isn't here. Suddenly my phone vibrates. It was a call from someone. I expected it to be from Jaebum or something, since he promised that right when he gets back to Korea from London, he'll treat me out to Korean barbecue, but it was actually Jinyoung. Usually cold Jinyoung.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hey..."

He sounds a little quiet. He usually sounds like he's pissed or bold; like he's confident about something he's about to do. Something in between.

"Anything you're up to right now?" he asks me.

I look outside through my window. As usual, it was snowing and the sky was gray. "No, nothing. You?"

"I'm actually at the airport right now."

I smile. "Really?" Coffee comes back and hops onto my lap and my smile grows wider. "Coffee says hello."

Jinyoung chuckles. It's been a long time since he's laughed or chuckled. "Tell her I said hi. Anyways, yeah, I'm just waiting. About 20 minutes until my plane is ready."

"Cool," I respond. Well that was uncool to say.

"Yeah, cool," he says in return. Why does he seem so down?

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just tired, I guess."

He guess?

"Okay." I play with Coffee's tiny ear. "Call me when you're on a taxi okay? By the way, where are you staying?"

He sighs. "My parents. Sure, I'll call you."

"Just stay at my place," I offer. "I'm always lonely."

"Okay, fine."

It's quiet for two minutes, then he says bye and hangs up.

I'm still trying to figure out why the usual cold, snappy Park Jinyoung sounded so depressed.

-The next day-

"Jinyoung, I missed you!" I exclaim and lift him up off his feet. Something new I wanted to try with a friend.

Jinyoung doesn't laugh or smile or push me back and yell at me. He has a straight face and he looks unhappy. "I missed you too," he says. There's no emotion of happiness in his tone.
