Chapter 15
The day I have been waiting for a long time finally arrived.
My high school graduation.
I seriously couldn't get wait to be done with high school, especially because of the people there. Quite a few gossipers wouldn't stop asking me about my brother or Kenny, and even starting spreading rumors that I asked my brother to do everything he did.
Yeah, that ended in a school wise assembly about rumors and the negative outcomes of it. The rumors about me and my brother and Kenny weren't mention in the assembly, but it was obvious that was what it was about.
The only downside about not being in high school was that Kenny was still going to be there and we couldn't do any plays together.
Luckily it wouldn't feel too different since we never had any classes together anyway since we were a year apart, and we normally left the school for lunch so we could always meet up.
Or I could convince him to skip school. Either worked.
Quite a few people were actually coming to the ceremony for me. I thought it was just going to be my parents and Kenny, but I was wrong. Kenny's parents, Horatio, Destiny, Dan, Anastasia, Enzo, Ariella, and Valentina also came.
I was a popular person and I totally understood why because I was very attractive.
The ceremony started with me singing our country's national anthem since I was the best singer in the senior grade because, well, me.
Before the graduates started receiving their diplomas, we had a moment of silence for both Mr. Mitchell and Rajan. While Rajan wouldn't have been graduating with us since he was only thirteen, a lot of us, me especially, thought it would have been better to honor him now than to wait for the year he would have graduated.
And while I absolutely loved the moment of silence we had for them, quite a few people decided to look at me and glare at me and I was trying my best to ignore them. I felt so guilty all the time because if I didn't argue with all the victims, they would still be alive. I really didn't want anyone holding it against me, especially because I had no idea what my brother was doing.
Besides, the victims' families weren't holding it against me, so I didn't know why people who weren't related or friends or even acquaintances with the victims were. Well, most of them weren't holding it against me. Courtney and Alex were, but Courtney was also still pinning after Dan after she cheated on him, so....
After the moment of silence was over, the graduates started receiving their diplomas. Everyone in the audience was clapping along for everyone, but when it was my turn, the clapping was somewhat faded, except for the people who came to see me.
Thanks, Clyde, for ruining my life.
When the ceremony was over, we had to return our gowns backstage before we were allowed to go see our friends and family. Once I did that, I headed over to them and both my parents gave me a hug. "Congratulations," Mom said. "I'm so proud of you."
"Thank you," I said.
"And I'm sorry, for everything you're having to go through," Mom said. "I noticed you starting to get a bit uncomfortable up there."
I sighed. "Yeah. A lot of people we glaring at me."
"If it makes you feel better, they're all irrelevant," Ariella said. "I don't blame you. Dan doesn't blame you. Priya doesn't blame you."
"I don't blame you," Kenny said. "You didn't know what he was doing and when you did find out....Well, you know. All those people glaring at you have nothing to do with it."
"I know, but it's annoying when all people think about when they see me is the serial killer's brother," I said. "And it feels like they're holding me accountable for what he did."
"I'm sorry," Kenny said.
"Don't be," I said. "It's fine. I guess."
"Would you feel better if I say we kind of have a small surprise for you?" Horatio asked.
I furrowed my eyebrows. "What surprise?"
"You officially get to sleep in a bed," Horatio said. "I found a place, and I'll be moving in on Saturday."
"So I finally get to sleep on a bed and not a couch?" I asked.
"Wait," Mom said. "Why were you sleeping on a couch?"
"Oh, don't worry, it was my idea," I said. "Kenny even offered that we alternate every night, but he needs a bed more than I do. And we couldn't share one before he might have ended up pregnant."
Indigo gave me a flat look. "Really?" she asked.
"I'm kidding," I said. Kind of. Kenny could have ended up pregnant for all I knew. Destiny somehow ended up pregnant by me, so Kenny could too.
Who knows?
"Your mother and I actually have a surprise for you too," Dad said. "You won't get it until tomorrow, though, but we wanted to let you know that you are getting something. We thought you deserved it after everything you want through. Graduating high school, getting high grades, doing amazing in every single play."
"Ooh, what is it?" I asked.
"Uh, we're not telling you," Dad said. "I said it's a surprise. Telling you would ruin it."
I huffed. "Fine, fine. I guess I have to go a whole day without knowing what it is, and I will only be pouting all day. The tragedy."
"You are always so dramatic," Kenny said.
"Of course I am. Because drama."
_______________
YAS DRAMA, WHICH THERE WILL BE LOTS OF IN THE CROSSOVER. :D
Speaking of, you're definitely going to find out Calvin and Destiny's son's name in the crossover because that will start before he's born in here.
And I can't wait for Junior to appear in this (with lots of irony, which you'll get once he does appear. cx) Other Major Vocal characters might appear here and there, but Junior is the only one that will have a role in the story. Kind of. Again, you'll understand when he appears.
AND HERE'S A GIF OF CALVIN/KEVIN BECAUSE WE FINALLY GET TO FIND OUT WHO THE MURDERER IS IN THE NEXT EPISODE, WHICH WILL BE ON IN T-MINUS EIGHTEEN HOURS:
Calvin hearing drama be like.
I'm calling it now, the murderer is either Jason's dad or Vegas. Those are my top two guesses. (vegas is shady dont trust him smh)
