The rest of the week passed quickly. On the Monday night they had dinner at Joe and Anna's house. Anna had oohed and aahed at the ring, exclaiming how beautiful it was.

Lexi had gone to work with some trepidation on Tuesday, because she knew that Sarah was working with her and she guessed that Sarah would make a catty comment about her ring. She wasn't wrong in that respect, Sarah had noticed the ring straight away and commented how nice it was that Jason had bought her a Friendship Ring and did he have a job lot for his other girlfriends? Lexi had snapped back at Sarah that of course it wasn't a Friendship Ring and that if she couldn't be nice, then to shut her mouth and had then turned her back on Sarah, to show it to one of the other girls who was chomping at the bit to see it. Sarah had stood for a moment, her mouth opening and shutting in shock that Lexi had actually dared to tell her to shut up. Sarah had left the room in a huff and Lexi had smiled to herself that she'd not seen Sarah stuck for words before and hoped that would now be an end to her bitchiness.

Josh was due to arrive on the train late Friday morning while Jason was at the BBC studios with the rest of the lads rehearsing for Children in Need. They had decided to perform The Flood and Never Forget and needed to make sure they got it right as it was the first time they'd performed Never Forget with Robbie. Jason was feeling especially nervous about their performance, he'd confessed to Lexi.

Lexi pottered around the house, her thoughts drifting every now and then to Jason, hoping that everything was going ok. After eating breakfast she showered and dressed. Standing in front of the wall mirror in the bedroom Lexi pulled her hair back into a Fishtail plait and tutted at the dark circles surrounding her eyes. She touched them up with a little Touche Eclat, as she reflected back to the reason why she looked so tired.

Her sleep had been interrupted by Jason talking in his sleep, something he did whenever he was worrying about something. She had extricated herself from under Jason's arm which was thrown over her heavily, as he cuddled her to him. She had gone down and made herself a cup of tea only to be joined by him ten minutes later, disturbed by the feeling of her body sliding out of the bed. By now, her tea had cooled sufficiently to drink so she took a small sip.

She looked up from the mug and gave him a smile as he entered into the kitchen, his hair standing on end as he ruffled his fingers through it and yawned loudly.

'Something up? You were talking in your sleep Jase,' she  asked him, getting up and flicking the kettle back on and dropping an Earl Grey tea bag into a clean mug.

'Just the usual Lex. Worrying about tomorrow night.'

'You'll be fine.' Lexi assured him, coming over and sitting on his lap as she wound her arms around his neck and kissed him on the forehead affectionately.

'I dreamt I fucked up my line in Never Forget Lex. I felt such a twat and then the lads all took the piss of me afterwards in front of all the audience. It was horrific.'

'Jay, that's not going to happen. It's just a dream, and lets face it if something like that happened, which it won't', she hastened to add, 'the lads wouldn't take the piss, would they?' she put her finger under his chin and tipped his face up, so he looked her in the eye. 'Jase, you have the best job in the world and you get to do something you love. Most people aren't that lucky in life, so enjoy it and relax. You'll be fine.'

By the time Jason had finished his tea and Lexi had rinsed their cups out in the sink, he was feeling much more positive and relaxed. He put his arm around her and gave her his trademark grin.'Thanks for the pep talk hun, what would I do without you my love? he grabbed hold of her bottom and squeezed it affectionately.

Lexi snapped out of her reverie as her mobile phone bleeped with a message from Josh to say that the train was on the outskirts of London and he'd see her soon. Swearing, she gathered up her bag, phone and car keys and ran outside to her car cursing that she was going to be late.
