Things settled down into an easy routine in Manchester, whilst Jason and the lads completed the remainder of their dates there. Lexi went to the majority of the dates, only missing one on the day when she went with Freya to the Trafford Centre.

On the day they were going to the Trafford Centre, Freya knocked on the door to the flat and Lexi hurried to the door, an excited squeal emitting from her mouth as she opened it and Freya threw her arms around her.

Once they pulled apart, Freya held Lexi at arms' length, exclaiming at her size and how well she looked. 'I can't believe the size of you, Lex! Are you sure there's not a baby elephant in there?'

'It bloody feels like it these days Freya.' Lexi rubbed her bump enthusiastically, fixing Freya with a rueful grin. 'My back aches and the baby doesn't stop wriggling. Ever!'

'So, what's the plan of action today then?' Freya rubbed her hands together and looked at Lexi, thinking that despite the bad back she was talking about that she looked really well.

'I wanted to take a look around John Lewis first. I want to look at some of those changing tables and order one if I see one I like. Sorry, I know it'll probably be pretty boring for you,' she picked up her handbag and looked at Freya apologetically.

'No, it's fine. It'll be an experience for me and I'll know what to look for when me and Josh eventually get around to having kids.'

'Oh, so you're thinking about it then?' Lexi asked, as they stepped into the lift.

'We've talked about it. I want to get married first and then maybe in the next couple of years we'll think about it,' Freya replied, a faint smile crossing her face as she thought about Josh and how happy he made her. Since moving up to Manchester she'd found a contentment she would never have thought was possible. Josh made her feel special and loved and she in turn was even more loving towards him as the months progressed. She knew after James had died that it had taken her a while to realise just how important Josh was to her, and that she didn't want to lose him. Now that she was here with him in Manchester she couldn't imagine life without him.

They spent a relaxing day looking around the shops, interspersed with frequent toilet breaks and drinks breaks for Lexi. By the end of the day Lexi had found a changing table which she had ordered, along with tiny newborn baby-gros, vests as well as blankets and sheets for the cot.

Freya had contemplated whether to tell Lexi about Jason's late night phone call to her on the night of Lexi's birthday. In the end she'd decided to keep quiet, as she knew Lexi would go mad if she knew Jason had spoken to her. On the night in question she had already been in bed with Josh, reading a new book.

'Who the hell is that at this time of night?' Josh grumbled, as she leant across and picked up her mobile phone from the bedside table.

'Lexi...' Freya murmered, answering the phone and hoping everything was ok. It was unusual for Lexi to ring this late at night. 'Hi Lex. What's up?'

'It's not Lexi. It's Jason.' Jason replied, his tone of voice showing his obvious annoyance. 'About Lexi's birthday present........'

'What about it?' Freya asked warily, as she put her book face down on the bed. 'Is something wrong?'

'You could say that Freya. Lexi doesn't know I'm ringing you.'

'I guessed that....' Freya replied, feeling slightly annoyed at being rung so late and also by Jason's tone of voice. 'So Jason, why are you phoning me?' she asked, sighing quietly in exasperation. She'd just got to a good part of her book and wanted to return back to it.

'Freya. I take it there were no seats at this concert?'

'Don't you think I checked that first, Jason? That was my first thought and then when I realised it was all GA I did some research on the place. It's not a very big venue and yes, I know me and Lexi will have to stand the whole time, but I knew how much she wanted to go. I will look after her you know! Lexi deserves a social life and I know she desperately wants to see them.'
