Vincent woke up at exactly 7 AM. He stood up and approached the closed sliding doors which led to the balcony quietly. He opened it, and the sunlight bathed the room. The sea breeze that came along with it complemented the breeze of the air conditioner, giving a cool and refreshing feeling to both of them inside the room. He walked over to the side of the master bed where he saw Jamie's sleeping face. The young breeder still looked beautiful to him as she slept, the clear wings on her back beating quickly for some time before folding themselves on her back, her two human arms and six insect legs moving unconsciously, and her insect abdomen pulsating slowly along to the rhythm of her expanding and contracting chest.

He then headed outside to the balcony, knelt on the sofa, and said a word of prayer to The Creator and Prime Mover of the Universe. After he had lifted his head and opened his eyes from praying, he saw the mountains filled with green and illuminated with gold, the other houses showing off their colors against the light of gold, the aquamarine sky and turquoise water proudly displaying their glory against the light of the sun, and finally, the happy little inhabitants of earth, sky and sea twittering, glubbing, splashing, and calling out as if saying "Good morning!" to the world --- such a wonderful scenery to wake up to.

He took in a deep breath, closed his eyes, and savored the air that went in and out of his lungs.

From the other water cottage, Ceejay looked at him and smiled. This man must have found solace among nature. Perhaps I should invite him to meditate. He thought.

Unfortunately, Jamie had forcefully laid a rebounding, spherical egg. It bounced off the floor and hit Vincent's nape, disturbing his momentum and making him turn around. Vincent turned around, and Jamie exclaimed sleepily, "Close the doors! I'm sleeping!!"

Okay. Vincent said to himself, and closed the sliding doors.

...

At eight o'clock, Vincent decided to go inland. He saw Isabella and Ceejay by the pool in white clothes, eyes closed, bodies in a sitting position, and minds in a state of enlightenment. They were humming softly. He decided best not to disturb them, and instead took his place at Isabella's right, sat down, and assumed meditation as well.

The others had just woken up fully and headed inland after thirty minutes, and when they had seen the three of them meditating in harmony with nature, they simply looked at the trio and went towards the restaurant.

Unfortunately, they ran into Catarina and company.

"Hello, Jamie and company," Catarina smirked, "Having a nice vacation, are we?"

The group of twelve were very much serious in their faces. "What do you want, Catarina?" Jamie asked.

"Oh nothing, really," Neon replied, "Just your little love bug, really."

"Vincent?" Jamie laughed, "You must be joking. We broke up days ago! He's out of my life!"

"Or is he, Jamie Priscilla Joule?!" Marjolina asked, resting her head on her left hand and smiling like a fox.

"I suggest you do not harm her, Marjolina," Laodhmair replied, flying towards the breeder, "I still have your brother in prison."

"And we are this close to executing him for numerous crimes against our nation state," Elaiza added, flying towards her husband and then pinching the air just to prove her point, "Had it not been for your sister, he would've passed into the next world in the most gruesome way."

"Markosson is no longer my problem, you equine kentauride vaxonxa!" Marjolina replied, stretching her spider legs and raising herself to her full height, "But lay a hand on him, and I will have your head."
