After some time, Vincent II decided to go down the steps as well to give his friend the adoration. However, Alfred spotted him and asked him to come to his side.

"What is it, Mr. President?" Vincent II asked.

Alfred grabbed something from his pocket and gave a tiny black box to Vincent. "For you, I knew both of you would fit as a couple, and I believe with all that both of you tell me over the group chats, this should happen."

His heart moved by his friend, Vincent took the black box and pat his friend on the back. "Good luck with your speech!" he replied as he speed down the stairs.

At eleven fifteen in the morning, the entire crowd went silent again, and Vincent stood beside Jamie at the bottom of the steps.

Alfred approached the podium a few steps down, cleared his throat, did one last mic check, cleared his throat again, and spoke, "President Quill has done something really special to this country, and for this reason, we have or had Vincent Svalbard II. And before we say farewell to his presidency, I would like to do this thing, one last thing, for him and his beloved.

"You see, when an arrow is pulled back, the same arrow was intended to move forward. I have personally known the two since their mis-incarceration (soft laughter from the audience) and I have seen both of them grow up together for four years. Then the unthinkable happened, the thing everyone feared most happened, and I think that's the 'pulling back of the arrow' that they needed.

"I know these two have just repaired their relationship, as all of you do, but I have heard something individually from Vincent long before these lovebirds had a falling out, and I think it's time the bond between them strengthened further. To the press and the cameras, set your eyes on Vincent and Jamie."

Once the cameras were turned to them, Vincent II said, "Well, Alfred said it." He stood in front of his breeder girlfriend. He looked to his father and her parents; all three gave a nod in reply. "I wished for this a long time, and I know you do as well. It's all so sudden though, having it today, but here we are!" Vincent said as he faced his girlfriend again.

"What do you mean, Vincent?" Jamie sweetly asked.

Vincent Svalbard II presented the tiny black box to Jamie, got down on one knee and opened it. Inside it was a diamond of the purest white, sitting atop a ring of gold alloy and silver, glistening in the sun.

Jamie was more than speechless, she was crying with joy.

"Oh my goodness, Vincent!" Jamie said in between tears, "And to think I had the same wish all these years, it finally came true!"

"So, what say you?" Vincent II asked, his heart racing faster than ever. The Prime Mover, Ovira and Zavinrah appeared from the clouds and whispered a "Yes!" in her ear. Her parents and Vincent's dad also gave the thumbs up, and everyone around her was cheering the word of affirmation.

Then, she looked up at Alfred, who gave her a wink.

Finally, with teary eyes, she managed to say, "Yes!"

Of course, everyone, even President Alfred exclaimed with cheers louder than ever before. Vincent stood up and hugged his now fiancee, his tears of joy now mingling with hers.

Finally, with his term over and his heart full, Vincent finally kissed Jamie on the lips, and Jamie felt the warmth of their love rushing throughout her body. She returned the kiss with another one and Vincent II felt the greatest zing of his life.

Such a romantic ending to a term and to a trilogy, don't you think?
