When the fifteen or so beings were almost near Vincent, Marjolina and her group stopped them, saying in unison, "You shall not pass!"
"Let them," The Seductress replied, "Let them see what I did to Vincent before I free him of his... seeds."
Obeying their command, the five made way for the fifteen or so, smiling wickedly and laughing under their breaths while they gestured towards Vincent, now on the verge of dying.
The ladies ran to his body emotionally as the guys followed behind them. Ladrino began cradling his head while Elaiza and Ridan checked his pulse on his wrist and neck. Vincent's life was soon fading away.
The Seductress approached them slowly, one arm rubbing her stomach while another rubbing her giant insect abdomen. "How does it feel to lose a friend you love and care about? I never had friends to care for me, not even the Broken Thread! Glad she was put to rest and disintegrated."
"Jamie," Noelle asked, "I know you're in there. Fight it. Don't let her control you!"
The Seductress gave a high pitched chortle. "Who's Jamie?" she jokingly replied, "Ah yes! In the process of fighting Vincent, she slowly slipped away, and I finally gained full control of her body!" She continued to laugh as she approached Vincent's feet.
"I believe, you all should back off now," The Seductress continued, "It is time I have my reward..."
But the friends of Vincent stood firm and clutched the body tightly...
...
Meanwhile, Vincent flew high above the clouds. He flew high above the stars. An aurora made itself known to him, and he sighed at its natural beauty before rising higher and higher. He rose beyond the stars, beyond the galaxies, beyond the heavenly bodies and the warp and woof of the universe, beyond the quasars, black holes, singularities, and irregularities...
He still rose even higher, beyond the point where the universe and all other universes before it were just dots in space, and then beyond the point where every dimension collided into a single dot in white space, and then he rose higher and higher.
He finally reached the point where the glorious magnificent white, yellow, and red Cities of the Hereafter floated side by side. The glistening golden City at the left housed the Deities of every religion and mythology as well as the Celestial Hunters. The sparking silver-white City in the middle housed the souls of those who did good in their lifetime and the rest of the Celestials. Finally, the vibrant red City housed the souls of the Daemons, or those who did not so good but are working to repay them.
An irresistible force caused Vincent to speed towards the middle City, where he found the souls of his ancestors below him. Yet he could not say hello to them, for the irresistible force had continued to catapult him towards a tall spire-shaped building right in the center of this City.
...
He entered the building with a crash, breaking the window and landing on the floor of a white room. Inside the room were two Deities, a Daemon, and, to his surprise, Jamie herself.
"Look who we have here!" the first Deity exclaimed as he approached Vincent. He offered a hand to him and said, "Young Man! Get up!"
Once Vincent was up, he straightened whatever clothes he wore and said, "Where am I? Who are you?"
The Deity laughed in a masculine voice. He replied, "Don't you know who I am? I have watched over you since your youth. I have heard your every cry, your every laugh, your every happiness, and your every sorrow. I am who I am. I am your Creator, your Provider, the One who listens to and guides all my followers. I am whom you call the Prime Mover, and I am more that what I have just said."
At the words Prime Mover, Vincent shuddered and cowered. He did not want to appear to a god like this, unclean inside and out, and he bowed prostrate once again. "Oh dear Prime Mover," he pleaded, "What is this that has taken over me? I am not fit to see you!"
The Prime Mover extended a hand, and said, "Rise, my child." Vincent shuddered and shook, but he slowly took the hand of the Prime Mover and stood up. "Not everyone is given the opportunity to see Deities like I and Ovira over here," the Prime Mover continued, "You, on the other hand, are lucky."
"Ovira is here too?" Vincent asked.
"The one and only!" The second Deity replied, "Have a seat, like a President should."
Vincent took the offer, and headed for the nearest chair. He tried to maintain a formal look as he sat down, but his insides were trembling.
The Prime Mover did the same, sitting down at his left. At his right, Jamie stood, or sat, or whatever a breeder does in place. The Prime Mover cleared his throat, and asked Vincent, "You do recognize the one beside you, do you not?"
Vincent turned to his right, and when he saw Jamie, he said, "Yes, oh Great One!"
"Then I suggest you talk to her. Go on!" Ovira replied.
Vincent turned to look at Jamie, but despite her innocent smile, he still wouldn't breathe a word out from his lips, and so he shook his head.
The Prime Mover laughed, and told him, "You should go talk to her!"
"Not after all that I have been through, hitting her, arguing with her, betraying her trust---" Vincent replied, but the Prime Mover stopped him with his laughter.
"My child," the Prime Mover spoke, "I do not care if you did those things towards her. Forgive yourself, let go, but learn. That is wise."
"Most true, Prime Mover," Ovira replied, "Vincent, do you know why he made you two golden-star babies?"
"No," Jamie suddenly blurted out in reply.
"It's because you two are supposed to be the most optimistic and happiest beings in a world full of chaos and sorrow," the Prime Mover replied.
Vincent and Jamie then looked at each other, and, like little children, exclaimed, "Whoa!"
Then things got silent.
...
After a bit of silence, Vincent mustered up his courage and spoke, "Jamie?"
"Yes?" The breeder replied.
"I'm sorry," Vincent replied with a sigh, "For everything, for betraying you, for hitting you in my anger."
"And I'm sorry too," Jamie replied, "I was just really hung up on that incident. It greatly affected me, even though it was an accident. I hope you can forgive me as well."
Vincent leaned in and hugged her upper body tightly. Jamie missed the warm feeling on her body when Vincent; it came back like a blanket protecting someone from the cold.
And she smiled. On the opposite end, the Prime Mover whispered to Ovira, "They're really meant for each other, these two optimistic souls."
"Yes, they are," Ovira replied, "And I hope, PM, that you treat her like family, just as you treat your believers, such as Vincent."
The Prime Mover pfft-ed in reply and said, "We're Deities of our own religions, Ovira. We have to look out for our own followers and believers. I will keep them company until I call them home."
"Which reminds me," Ovira replied before facing the two of them, who were now cuddling next to each other like olden times. She cleared her throat and spoke, "Hate to break it up with you two, but you both need to get back to your own world."
"She's right, you know," The Prime Mover added, "Your time down there is not yet up, and you still have a world to implicitly save."
"But I'm not the President of Mandala anymore," Vincent replied.
"Even so, you have my sister to dispel," Ovira replied.
"Now go," the Prime Mover replied, as two beams of light began to envelope Vincent and Jamie and lift them up in the air.
"Thank you, Father and Mother Dear!" both of them shouted in reply. With a booming voice, the Prime Mover replied, "And when you truly get back, tell me everything!"
But at that moment, the lights disappeared with a blink, and Vincent and Jamie were gone from the Deities' sights.
