Vincent and Jamie wore their onesies as they slept on the bed together, despite their relationship still being not yet "fixed".
Suddenly, they heard a tapping at the balcony door, and immediately, Vincent was the first to wake up. He sat up and yawned, whispering out loud, "Who would disturb us during these ungodly hours?" He slid open the door, and found...
...the upper half of Avinna flying in midair. Surprisingly, not one drop of blood dripped from her dangling guts onto the floor.
"Well, that is creepy," Vincent replied.
"Yeah, it's manananggal physiology," Avinna replied, "Sorry for scaring you during the 'witching hour', but I'm very hungry." Her very long tongue licked her lips.
"Why don't I get you a burger or something? Also, how can you eat when your entire body is split?" Vincent asked.
"I'm not into that kind of stuff that much now," Avinna replied, "I need to eat --- try not to choke --- unborn fetuses."
"But none of us here is preggers but you!" Vincent protested, "And it would be unwise to eat your own baby!"
"I know, right?" Avinna replied, "Is your friend still asleep?"
"Yeah," Vincent whispered, "Why?"
"Unborn breeder egg cells could be a substitute," Avinna replied, "I'm just really, really hungry, and on top of that, I am undergoing extreme labor pangs right now, and I can't split for too long."
"What?" Jamie asked as she sleepily sat up. "What's all the commotion around here?"
"Jamie," Vincent replied, "TL; DR. You might need to sacrifice a few unborn eggs cells because Avinna here is a manananggal and she needs to eat before giving birth."
"It will just feel like a mosquito bite," Avinna replied, "Sorry for that, you will be compensated greatly."
Jamie sighed, and then said, "Fine!" She immediately lay her head on her pillow as Avinna flew over her large insect abdomen. The manananggal breeder then used her tongue to pierce the skin until it entered the innermost uterus of the matrical complex, where all the unborn eggs cells have been stored. From there, she had her fill.
After a few minutes, Avinna was done feeding and used her saliva to cover up the puncture she inflicted on the breeder Jamie, who asked, "Is it over?"
"Yeah!" Vincent replied, "You can sit up now!"
Jamie and Vincent sat up as Avinna thanked both of them greatly and apologized one last time. Then, she flew backwards and closed the balcony doors in front of them.
Vincent and Jamie tried to go back to sleep, but they hardly slept a wink. There was something inside them which compelled each of them to have the same thought.
"Vincent, are you sleepy?" Jamie asked the human.
"Not one bit," Vincent replied to the breeder
"You think we should go help Avinna?" Jamie asked.
"Yeah," Vincent replied, "I think she might be delivering the child soon."
Quickly, they got out of bed, got the room key, and finally rushed out of their room and towards the room of the manananggal breeder, now in pain.
...
Avinna fused herself whole again and in the right order, her organs quickly mending themselves up. But her labor pains were ceaseless, and every succeeding wave of pain was more painful than the last.
Since aswangs have super speed, Makata immediately rushed to his wife's aide, and immediately held her hand. Right now, Avinna began to breathe heavily. Her lower insect-queen-esque abdomen pulsated and shifted above the bed, and her human-like toes began to curl up in response to the now excruciating pain.
