-{Chapter 20}-

Before I knew it Jasper had placed his hand on the door's knob. Just like my fears, everything vanished as I was forcefully dragged inside of the mystery room. Once he opened the door and pulled me in I couldn't help but gasp out as I looked forward...

Once he opened the door and pulled me in I couldn't help but gasp out as I looked forward into a dark spooky hallway. Is he going to kill me or something?

"Where are we Jasper.. why are you bringing me down a dark and spooky hallway..."I whispered moving my head side to side scanning my surroundings in curiosity.

The hallway was long narrow and dark, the only light that shined was the light that peaked out from the door that we had entered. For a dark hallway, it was neatly kept no dust, no cobwebs nothing. Well, I guess even the old and spooky places are spotless...

"Kiara be quiet we are almost there," Jasper whispers. Gently Jasper placed his hand against the narrow walls as we walked down. He was tall and handsome but as he crouched lower he was just about at my own height.

"Jasper... where are we going..?" Eager to know where the hell we were going I continued onwards quietly. To say that I was calm was an understatement if anything I was nothing but calm. The minute that I stepped inside the school I have been on high alert.

"Don't worry we are safe here, this is one of the servant's hallways very few use them. Most of the servants let alone the students even use or know about them." He replied.

"Servants hallway?" I was aware that in the past often castles had servants live in private areas but to go this far to keep them hidden was just shocking. 

"Yes, however, these servant hallways are not used any more as there is no need. They are helpful though if you are trying to escape. Apparently, there are even hallways hidden inside the walls and escape tunnels throughout the school but most of which are lost due to all the renovations over the years."

"That's incredible," I whispered my voice low but my interests high. I knew this school was ancient but if I somehow could get a map of the hidden passages that could really benefit the mission as well as save a few lives if needed. However that right now was the least of my problems, we needed to get back to my room.

With no reply, Jasper simply nodded his head in agreement as he continued onwards down the dark hall the hallway getting darker and darker the further we traveled. On instinct in could feel my hand slip down my dress as I played with the tip of the blade that lay in-between my thigh hidden from sight. I was ready to attack and was not afraid to do so.

"Tap, tap, tap" The sound of shoes hitting softly against the floor put my mind on edge. The sound was coming from behind, us it was faint but none the less haunting. It was not the sound of my feet, and it as definitely not the sound of Jasper. Someone is following us...

Griping onto the hilt of my knife I swiftly pulled it out from under my dress removing it from the slot. With one hand I held onto it pointing it forward as I turned around.

"Kiara..?" Jasper questioned turned around as I stopped.

"Someone is following us," I whispered my voice low but firm as I turned my back away from Jasper gaze hiding the knife. As we both stopped the sound of tapping grew louder and louder.

"Wait Kiara...," Jasper whispered.

Ignoring jasper I looked forward my eyes narrow was a dark shadowy figure came closer to view. Griping onto my knife my eyes widened as I met the gaze of my target. Faster then I have ever before I coughed out, using my cough as an excuse to place the knife back in its slot. Once safely place I put my hand on my heart crying out dramatically.

"Ju..l..ian..?" I mumbled fakely trying to sound as scared as I could. Before I could say more the sound of Jaspers voice rang out as Jasper jerked his hand into mind pulling me back.

"Julian, what are you doing here?" Jasper replied.

"Jasper.. im not here to harm anyone I was looking for Kiara," Julian replied as he fixated his gaze over towards Jasper and then down at me. His eyes were full of concern but his voice wavered in fear. What is he hiding?

"Where are the other 3,  there is no way that you would very part from them," Jasper replied. His voice hardened as well as his hand as his grip tightened around my hand pulling me farther back. I can handle myself thank you very much.

"Well, they are not hereafter Kiara left I got worried. I knew the guards were still looking for her I told the boys I went to the bathroom. They will be looking for me soon let's go. Also on my way here, I overheard the guards talking they are heading to your room right now." Julian replied urgently as he moved forward.

My gaze strayed sharp, however, Julians aswell as jaspers were full of concern. I could feel the string tension between the two feeling as hate radiated off of them both but as they looked at me the tension lessened.

"We need to get her to her room now before the guards get there!" Jasper shouted.

"Exactly so let's go!" Julian replied urging us both forward. 

Jaspers' hand was still in mine so when he began to run I was forced to follow. As we ran down the hallway my feet ran forward but my gaze stuck behind as I looked over towards Julian. Abruptly my body jerked forward as Jasper stopped. If it wasn't for his hand tightly around my own I probably would have almost fallen...

"Oi.. what was that for.." I groaned trying my best to not curse out in annoyment.

"Were here your room should be a few doors down right from this door," Jasper replied placing his hand gently against the knob of the door.

Turning over to Jasper and then julian they both nodded simultaneously nodding my own head I agreed as I readied myself.

"Let's go..," Jasper whispered opening the door quickly. As the door swung open all three of us ran out of the dark hallway light pouring over us as our eyes adjusted to the sudden change. immediately as we run out Julian swiftly slammed the door shut behind us. Within seconds we appeared in front of my own rooms door. Jasper almost immediately opened my bedroom door as we all ran inside gasping out as we...
