I woke up in a dark cell, Encre still asleep next to me. I pulled him close, wanting to protect him. He purred as felt he felt me pull him close, how cute. I heard two voices, I protectively tightened my grip on Encre and growled lowly. Mortals! "what's that noise!" A startled voice asked as my growl grew louder as they got closer, "Maybe that vampire finally woke up?" Said the other, "Alright I'll handle his you go tell Eterna." The first voice said, they got closer I saw a shadow, the appeared in front of the cell, my wraps wrapped tighter around my sleeping love, he woke up slowly and clutched my shirt, I stroked the back of his head gently sshing (is that a real word? It is now! XD) "oh! You both are awake!" He said cheerfully, "Yes, we are. What's it to you?" I replied coldly, "Love dont be so harsh, Azure wouldn't hurt a fly." Encre said calmly trying to get me to calm down, "alright if you say so." I said as I kissed the top of his skull, he purred again, "E-Eterna wanted me to bring you her after you woke up."
"Alright, but if Encre didnt trust you, you would be dead." I said standing up, Encre quickly followed then clung to my arm, I walked out swiftly Encre walking by my side looking around scared, "I-I've never seen this part of the castle..." he said worringly, it was a dimly lit dungeon, cells lining the walls, I heard a squeak, then another, soon a whole army of high pitched squeaks arose, I looked in the cells to see many bats, no not just bats, vampires! Hundreds, all screaming at me to do something. I was their king! Yet I couldn't do a damn thing to help my people, I raised a hand, they quieted, I blinked back tears. I wanted to do something, we've lost over 200 vampires in the last ten years because of the hunts, and to see all of them stick thin and cold, being left for dead down here...It was unbearable.

"Eterna is right this way." Azure said leading us down a hall. I was furious, all those vampires deaths, faked! I would save them all. I heard someone yelp, the swift footsteps down a hall. Mortals assuming that vampires are blood thirsty monsters, as always.
He lead us to a small office, in sat Eterna, "Ah, your finally awake." She said sinisterly, "Sit, please." She ordered gesturing to two chairs in front of Encre and I, we sat down, suddenly Encore screamed...Then silence I slowly and shakily looked over at him, he was gone....No sign of him, put on the floor there was a small puddle is liquid, and eray of colors, Encre's blood. I slammed my hands on the desk in front of me "What the hell did you just do!?" I screamed "No worries you see him again....In hell." Eterna replied my eyes became the size of saucers, I keyed out of the room, rushed through the halls, I didnt know where I was going. Bug quite frankly, I didnt care, I needed to find Encre! I was tackled down by guards, I struggled to get loose. I turned into a bat and flew through the castle with more speed hen I thought I was capable of, I heard the swift beat of another pair of wings following behind me, I turned my heard. Another, obviously blood thirsty bat was close on my heels SLAM I was on the ground, a severe pain I my wing.
