26. Orphaned

Encre POV

I follow Fallacy, his arm was wrapped loosely wrapped around my waist.

He leads me to the garden, I stood and watched as he walked in front of me and wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his waist, "Hold on tight, Encre." He spoke gently before summoning his wings and flying up into the air. I had a death grip on the hood of his cloak. A few seconds passed before we landed on a small platform on one of the castle pillars. I stared in awe at the gorgeous sunset in front of us, Fallacy chuckled. Soon after Jasper and Plume jetted onto the platform and landed both looking petrified. "Children: What's wrong?" Fallacy asked. "E-Eterna's in the castle," Jasper spoke softly, his voice laced with fear. Fallacy pulled his child closer shushing him gently. A scream echoed in the village, "Mother!!" Plume shouted and began to jet off. Fallacy grabbed me holding me tightly as he rushed to the village, flying quickly.

We landed at the location of the scream. Penne was holding his wife, Cilvester who looked to be injured.Eterna in front od them gripping a stake. My eyes went wide, I pushed myself away from Fallacy a grabbed Plume, burying his head into my chest. Fallacy went to attack Eterna. I grabbed his wrist, I couldn't loose him! Cilvester dropped to the ground, Penne quickly following holding him close. Tears streamed down his face, "No! C-c'mon Cil, you're okay! you'll be okay" Fallacy was desperately trying to rush over. I kept him back with my magic not wanting to loose him.

Eterne walked closer. Penne looked up at Eterna. Eterna smirked and pushed the stake through the two of them. Penne gagged, coughing up blood. The two turned to dust. I watched in horror. Plume burst into tears, gripping my shirt tightly. The boy was just orphaned in front of his eyes, he buried his face into my chest crying hysterically. I didn't blame him, Fallacy rushed over to us and hugged Plume tightly.

Plume went into his bat form, Fallacy taking the bat into his arms holding him close to his chest. It was almost like Fallacy understood what Plume was going through at the moment....Maybe he did. Fallacy's eyes flared a dark color. I took a step away from my love. He turned to where Eterna stood a few minutes ago. She was gone! That little- ugh! Fallacy took a shaky breath andcalmed down.

Fallacy grabbed my hand and we walked back to the castle. Plume still hiding in fallacy's chest crying, Fallacy was trying to calm the young vampire. on the way back plume had cried himself to sleep. Poor boy. Fallacy walked to Plume's room and laid the boy in his and turned back to his normal form. How did he do that?

Fallacy picked my up and set me on his back. I wrapped my arms around his neck. Jasper was sitting outside our bedroom. "Do you need something Jasper?" Fallacy asked, "Is everything okay? I saw you carrying Plume on your way back into the castle." Fallacy looked down, "Plume's parents were killed tonight. He needs space. Just let him be until he decides he's okay." Fallacy spoke as if he were remembering something, 'he needs time to heal." Fallacy said softly, empathy in his voice. He brushed Jasper aside and walked into the bedroom with me still on his back.

He laid me on the bed, he changed and crawled in net to me, I laid facing him, "Something wrong Mon Cheri?" I asked he shook his head. Liar, he thinks I can't tell something's bothering him. He pulled me close to him and kissed my forehead. We soon fell asleep.
