34. Burn

Jasper POV

    I woke up in a cell, Amelia nowhere to be seen, I freaked out. Calling her name... Nothing, shit. I turned into my bat form and flew between the bars, heading to the ceiling so no one suspected something, or worse, saw me. 

   I scanned the floor and cells, searching for my fiancee, I heard a scream. Amelia! I flew faster towards the destination when I got there I saw knights chaining down her wings. Iron burns a vampires wings! ((Name that movie!! Hint: It's Disney)) WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO HER!? 

    I swooped down turning into my mortal form and grabbing her, quickly ripping the iron chains off her wings. I turned us both back into our bag forms and flew off, holding her injured frame to my chest. Stay awake Amelia.

    I jetted out of a window, heading off the castle grounds, then-

BAM!!

   Damn, a barrier! I fell to the ground, someone quickly picked me up and desperately tried to escape, "Ssh! I want to help you, she's hurt, isn't she?" The person said, I looked up and saw a skeletal mortal with piercing blue eyes filled with innocence, I nodded, hiding Amelia further into my wings. He nodded and started walking back towards the barrier, using some form of magic to mask us from it. He walked on through, I slowly fell asleep. 

Azure POV

    I held the two small bats and walked to my house, avoiding people. I walked into my house shut the doors, drawing all curtains and locking my door. Placing the two on my bed. I took the injured, I didn't know her name, I knew that the other was Jasper. I examined her wings, burned. I grabbed some bandages and other necessities for dealing with burns and went back over to her, she looked at me in fear, I set my hand out and she reluctantly went into her mortal form, he wings hanging lifeless against her back. I placed my hand on one and she tensed and her breathing hitched. I took care of her wings and wrapped them up, by the I finished with them she was almost in tears. That must be painful, they are burns. She crawled over to Jasper and picked up the sleeping bat, holding him protectively. 

Encre POV

    I sat with Plume and explained to him why Fallacy and Ange were freaking out. He was clearly worried, "W-will they be okay?" he asked, "I'm not sure, but we'll try our best to get them home safe and sound." I answered, he nodded and pulled Cerf, who was laying in his lap, closer to him. I heard a soft purr ((XD why do I find that funny???)) escape him. I stood up and went to find Fallacy, he's probably having a breakdown, Jasper was almost killed last time he went into Towntale. 

Suave POV 

   No! No no no no no! Not Jasper! 

  I sprinted down the halls to find Damian, we need insight! I found him in the library writing something, "DAMIAN!!" I shouted, scaring him. "Yes?" he replied

"I need you to go into town and figure out where they're keeping Jasper!" I said, worry clear in my voice, I wouldn't be surprised if tears were threatening to fall from my eyes, "The Young Lord was taken!?" 
"Yes, Amelia too! Damian, you're the double agent, go make sure they're okay! Please!" 

He nodded and gathered his things, "I'll be back by tomorrow." He said heading the door, I ran to my room and buried my face into a pillow, letting tears roll down my cheeks as all the things that could happen to my love ran through my mind. 

   Please be okay Jasper...
