It never occured to me that something so beautiful can come from something so tragic.

***

I failed to count the seconds passing by as I fell into the unknown. Flashbacks played before my eyes and I couldn't help but ask myself, This is all just some wicked dream?

I doubt it was. It feels so real.

And even so, I wouln't want it to be. No matter how messed up my life is, both in the Land dwellers World and in the MidWorld, I figured this is what makes me Aza Sterlings. I've been a failure many times before..yet I don't want to disappoint them again.

When I dare open my eyes, I can see the twin moons shining down on me. Their pastel colors mixed with the velvet night sky and it had me wonder about many things.

And in the midst of my thoughts, I found myself crashing with a vast ocean to cradle me. The water engulfed me and it somehow weakened my current state. I tried to swim, but I forgot I have no idea how to.

That's when everything went black..

*
I groaned and felt my back still hurting. After coughing out some water, I abruptly opened my eyes and tried to sit up. My whole body was wet; my feet was tickled by the tides that reached it. When I took in my surroundings, I realized I was at a shore.

After a few moments, I checked myself and saw my bag missing. Cursing under my breath, I struggled to stand up. Something caught my eye though and it made me gasped.

The black fox, gleaming under the sun with those majestic eyes, seemed to be waiting for me up ahead.

I followed him until we reached a lively garden. Plants of all kinds were neatly in place and the grass felt soft under my bare feet. My shoes must've drifted off somewhere. In a distance, colorful fowers bloomed and it immediately reminded me of spring.

"Hey! Where are you taking me?" I called out to the creature.

But when I raised my eyes, I saw a man standing besides it. He patted the fox's head, "You did great, Nari." and turned to smile at me. I furrowed my eyebrows and I guess he took the hint. His charming features softened.

"You are inside my Kingdom's territory, Aza Sterlings. I had Nari guide you here.."

I nodded and ignored the fact that this stranger knew my name. But as I took a closer inspection, I saw a fox crest on his chest. That raised me more questions.

"Who are you?"

The strange man smiled and slightly bowed his head in a gentleman-like manner.

"I am Prince Perseus Lysander Earlhart."
