I woke up being carried by Seth up to my room. I just fell asleep with Joel, how am I with Seth?
"Seth?" I ask drowsy. "How did I get here"
"Joel called and told me to pick you up. He had to leave somewhere" he chuckles.
I yawn. "Sounds good to me"
He layed me gently on my soft bed and I cuddled up with my stuffed animal. My bed was silky and soft, it was hard not to doze off quickly.
I checked my clock. 10:34? I almost slept a whole day!?
I run out to the hallway. "Seth? Mom? Dad?" I yell.
"I'm here" says a voice behind me. I turn around to see Matt smiling with his arms wide open. I sprint right into him and squeeze him tight.
"I missed you so much!" I whisper.
He hugs me back. "I over-reacted. I shouldn't have left, I understand you were upset and all and I would honestly be stressed if I were you too" he says.
I pull back away. "Just where did you hide?"
"Secret" he smirks.
We both walk around, looking for the rest of our family. But they were gone.
"I slept for a whole day!" I gasp trying to start a conversation.
"Yeah I know, For the past 2 weeks you got no actual sleep" Matt replies. He opens the fridge door as I hop up on the counter.
"Orange juice?" he offers. I nod and get out some glasses.
"I made it to finals" I brag to him.
"Good job little sis!"
"Yeah I know, and we're going to Hawaii! You should come!" I squeal.
He shakes his head. "I have to see the doc."
"We can hire one in Hawaii. Its all planned out. Please" I widen my eyes and jut out my bottom lip. He sighs and nods his head.
I run up and hug him. "Thank you so so so much!"
"Now finish your juice and get ready for school. I'll take you."
I chug my juice and dash to my room.
In heat up the curling iron and change into shorts, and a V-neck. I also grabbed a pair of Tom's. I put on light makeup and curled my hair. I looked great, well, better than I have in a while.
When I walked into the school building, everyone was congratulating me on Regionals, or showing sympathy for my brother. I just smiled and said thanks.Even the teachers gave me special attention!
Trey was picking me up that day. I walked to leave the school and meet Trey out front. I think Christine walked home but Trey was waiting for me.
"Heard you got in a fight with my little sister" he smirks.
"I'm not telling you and even if it was true, it's none of your business" I snap back.
"Oh yes it is" and he swoops me up so my stomach is on his shoulders and he's holding my legs.
"Trey! Let me go" I squeal!
He chuckles and walks towards the car. In the corner of my eye, I can see almost the whole school plus Aaron and Seth watching and laughing. My face was probably bright red but at least Joel wasn't here to witness.
He plops me down on the car seat, considering he has a convertable. He laughs the whole way home.
