I changed into jean shorts, a blue plaid Hollister shirt and converse. I straightened my hair and put on some makeup.
Aaron, Trey, and Seth took me and Christine to school in Trey's convertible.
I hopped into his car without opening his car door.
"Talise, if you ruin the imported leather on my seats, I swear to God!" Trey threatens.
"Yeah, Yeah, I know. You're gonna kick my ass. Can we go now?" I asked him as I put my seatbelt on.
The guys chuckled at my humor and started the car, even though I wasn't trying to be funny. We sped down the streets and the morning wind blew into my hair.
We parked in the parking lot and everyone hopped out of the car as I gawked at the school. Our school was huge and looked brand new.
Christine got me signed in and I got my schedule and walked towards my new school.
Some new strangers gave me looks in the hallway, and others came up and introduced themselves. I kept a positive smile on my face.
I walked into my first class, and unfortunately, no one I knew was in there with me.
The teacher, Mr. Douglas, introduced himself as with the whole class. Some people were crying when they first saw me again. Was I that important?
Lunch rolled around and I sat by Christine.
"So how was your first day?" she asked as I started eating.
I swallowed my food, and started talking softly.
"Well, some people started crying when they saw me? Was I that much of an envy to them?"
"You didn't know much of them but they think you're really inspirational" Christine replies.
I nod slowly. "Inspirational as in?"
"How your not freaking out, and actually took a chance to listen to what was actually going on"
I stopped talking from there. They obviously weren't lying but did that mean I believe them?
On the ride home, we decided to chill at my house for the rest of the night.
Trey stopped the car in the driveway but before he could take his keys out, I jumped out and ran into a guys arms. He was sitting on my front porch and made my day.
Everyone had a confused look on their face, considering they didn't get a chance to see his face. But only Seth recognized him and walked towards me.
I quickly let go, remembering Joel was here too.
"Kyle! I missed you so much!" I squeal.
"What do you think your doing here?" Seth asked as he came over. The guys and Christine following him close behind.
Kyle smiled. "I came here to see Talise and see how she was doing after the incident."
"She's fine" Aaron says without any emotion.
"Any other reason you decided to travel hundreds of miles to Florida?" Christine asks with a bit of attitude.
Kyle opens his mouth about to say something but I inturrupt before anyone could speak another word.
"Whats up with the attitude guys? Why can't you believe he came here to see how I felt? And I can speak for myself"
Seth takes another step. "I bet you did that with all your girlfriends too, didn't you"
"Seth!" I yell and push him back before I start a fight.
"Talise. You know I'm still your boyfriend, right?" I hear Joel say.
