I start happy dancing around in the airport. "Hawaii! Hawaii! Here we come!"
"Now you sound like Dora" Aaron says.
I stick my tongue out at him and walk over to my mom. She was talking away on her blue tooth, trying to text someone, and emailing another person all at one time. She shoos me off.
I roll my eyes, but understands. If I were taking 7 kids to Hawaii, I would be exactly like her. She was the only parent going. Not if you count Matt and Aaron, they were both 19. But since me and Christine were the youngest, and probably the most maturest, we could handle ourselves. Unlike Trey and Seth who were both 17, were probably least mature. And then there was Joel, he was coming too! And he's 18 so I would think he could handle himself. I'm just glad me and Christine made up!
"Flight 640 departure to Hawaii is boarding" the intercom says. While everyone is grabbing their carry-on's, I have to snap my mom out of the technology world. I take my small duffel bag and cling to Joel, he puts his arm around my waist and kisses my head.
"I cant wait" I tell him. He squeezes me tighter.
"I know, me either" Joel replies.
We hand the lady our tickets and board the plane. We have first class seats so just me and Joel can sit together. I lean back my chair, and push the armrest up so I don't have to lean over to Joel. I plug some ear buds into my iPhone and pull out a blanket and my stuffed animal. I was scrolling through some songs when Joel started talking.
"What are we doing first in Hawaii?" he winks.
"We get our rooms and go out to eat. After that, we'll probably head to bed, considering what time we will arrive there" I reply.
He nods. "So are you training the next day."
"Yup, for the next 4 days. Then competition" I grin.
He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me closer so he's resting his chin on my head. "I'm so proud of you" he murmurs.
"I know" I smirk.
I finally choose a song. Waiting Outside The Lines by Greyson Chance. I doze off.
I wake up to Joel gently shaking me.
"We're here" He kisses my forehead.
"Already?" I ask.
"You slept the whole way, babe." he laughs.
I yawn and stretch as I slip on my jacket and flip flops.
"We will be landing in Hawaii in 5 minutes. Please turn off all devices and do not take off your seat belt until the captain blinks on the sign. The temperature is a nice 87 degrees." the announcer says.
The plane lands, we grab our bags and leave the plane. We collect our luggage. As we walk to our cabs, Trey slaps my butt. I turn around and punch him as hard as I could in the stomach. He grunts.
"When will you learn to stop touching me!?" I ask.
Aaron steps in. "Talise is right" he says to Trey. Then he turns back to me. "That's Joel's job" he smirks.
"Do you need some discipline?" I warn.
He shakes his head. "That's what I thought!" I say. I rush up to Christine.
"Your brothers!" I groan.
"Sorry Hun" she smiles and I loop my arm through hers. We step in the cab. The boys, beside Joel, take a different cab. I was squished in between Christine and Joel, while my mom sat upfront. She gave him the name of our hotel and the driver sped off.
