The twins, Fear and Virtue, were the offspring of an Angel and a Devil. They had been cast down to Earth, because they had no place in either heaven or hell.
Fear wanted to wreak havoc on the world, and virtue wanted everyone to be good. However, once a year, on Halloween, they both would have a little fun.
There was this girl in their high school class. She was the epitome of a perfect girl, and Fear had this huge crush on her. She hadn't liked him in that way though. She was dating a jock. Now this jock just happened to the the bully of Virtue, and Virtue -being herself- couldn't bring herself to let Fear mess his face up.
It was Halloween, however. And Fear was allowed to have a little fun with this bully of his sister.
There was this huge annual Halloween festival that the town they fell into held. Everyone went and there was this huge Haunted House.
But this year, the Haunted house wouldn't be scary. It would be a nightmare.
Fear used his power whenever someone went into the house. He would make their worst phobia appear in every room they entered. Spiders, Clowns, water, the whole nine yards. And Virtue would make them feel a little better whenever they came out.But then, The Girl and The Jock went into the house. And Fear's lips curled into a wicked smile. The Girl would not be harmed, oh no. Virtue took care of her, leading her out to the Sweets kiosk on the other side of the festival. As sweets were her only weakness, she stayed there for the remainder of the time her boyfriend was in the Nightmare specifically tailored to him.
The Jock was afraid of the mundane things, spiders, clowns, but he didn't have an actual Phobia of those things. No, his phobia was much more fun for Fear.
He was afraid of the dark.
Every room he went into was pitch black, from the moment he entered the house. The jock shook, and reached for The Girl's hand only to find she wasn't there. That didn't mean that he never grabbed a hand, however.
Fear decided to see this one all the way through himself. He turned into a creature of the night, only his silhouette could be seen. The Jock's hand grabbed his, and it was nothing like he had ever touched.
Fear's hand had morphed into an amalgam of bones and sores, it was wet and sticky, and The Jock pulled his hand away as quickly as he could. Other people were coming into the house now, and Fear decided to not only scare him, but also embarrass him.The nightmare he made was specifically tailed to the Jock, after all. So while the other people were going through the house, which really wasn't that scary without Fear controlling it, The Jock was flailing through it. Screaming at everything that he bumped into, because all he could see was darkness.
The Jock saw a light and ran toward it, thinking that would be the way out. He was greeted instead with a house made from sweets. Sort of like Hansel and Gretel's story.
Fear made it seem as though The Girl was in there, eating sweets and looking like the witch from the story. And there was where the dream Ended😂😂
