The Graveyard Shift

Chapter 5

**Jenna's POV**

I was getting ready to go see a movie with Ricky. Zoey had to work so I was home alone. I began to hear my ringtone coming from my phone

"Hello?" I answered

"Hey! So, do you want me to come get you or you just wanna meet up?" Ricky asked

"I can meet you there. I'm almost ready"

"Ok, cool. So I'll see you in a bit" he said and hung up

I put my hair in a bun then headed to the theater

**Ryan's POV**

I was at work with this guy named Cody. We don't really talk. However, Balz is here now.

"So, is that Jenna chick hot like Chris said?" Balz asked

"Oh, yeah. She's very quiet though. She just does homework. She's uptight I think." I told him

"Is she nice to you?"

I just shrugged "I guess"

"So, did you hear Rick is at the movies with a girl."

"No, where'd he find this one at?" I asked

"At school. She's in his math class."

"So she's probably one of those who reads a lot like him" I said

"Probably."

**Jenna's POV**

"That was.....well something" I said laughing

"Yeah," Ricky said not really knowing what to say

"Do you wanna grab some food. I'm starving!"

"Well, I kinda gotta go for band practice." Ricky said looking down at his feet

"Oh, ok that's fine"

"Wanna come? I mean if you don't have plans?"

"Will your bandmates mind?" I asked

"A girl coming to practice will be the highlight of thier day. Come on" Ricky said

**Ryan's POV**
Chris said Ricky is bringing the girl he went to a movie with to practice. I guess it'll be good to get an outsiders opinion but I hope she's nice.

"Hey Kevin is it cool if I head out?" I asked

"Yeah, go ahead it's slow"

I drove to Chris' house and waited for Ricky to come.

"Hey guys. This is-" I cut Ricky off

"Jenna!" I said

"Ryan! What are you doing here?" She asked

"I'm in the band. Why are you here?"

"Uh, Ricky invited me"

"So this is the uptight girl you were telling me about?" Balz blurted out

"You said I was uptight!?!" She said

"Yeah, but I didn't mean it!" I said trying to defend myself

She just rolled her eyes and we started practice. Working with her now is gonna be really awkward.

"So, what do you think?" Angelo asked

"Uh, y'all are good!" Jenna said honestly

"Really?" Chris asked

"Yep, what was that song?" Jenna asked

"It's called Abigail"

"Oh. Yeah that would make sense" Jenna  said looking at the time "I gotta go. My roommate will be home soon"

"I'll walk you out" Ricky said

I watched them walk out and my blood is boling. I don't even know why. Do I like her? I couldn't like her. Could I? She doesn't like me. Especially, after Balz said I said she was uptight. I don't even know what to do about this
