**Jenna's POV**
The semester is about halfway over and I need a break. Ricky and the band had a small tour so I haven't had any friends at school. I'm happy for them, but it just sucks that I work alone now that Ryan is gone. We still avoid talking to one another, but next week when he comes back to work I will try to patch things up.
A few days later
"Look what the cat dragged in" Ryan said from behind the counter as I walked into work
"What's up punkhead?" I asked
"That's a new one" he said chucking
"I gotta keep things fresh" I said
Ryan and I talked for hours. He told me about the tour and even helped me with studying for midterms
"Hey Jenna?" Ryan said as we walked to our cars
"Yeah" I said looking at him
"Do you wanna go grab dinner with me tomorrow night?" He asked
"Like a date or-" I began to say
"I really like you Jenna. I've gotten to know you more and really enjoy handing out with you. So yeah like a date"
"Ok, I'll see you tomorrow night" I said smiling
The next day
"What's his name?" Zoey asked as I got ready
"Ryan"
"Is he cute?"
"Of course he is!" I said smiling to myself
"Well, have fun!" Zoey said
Ryan picked me up and we went to this nice restrant downtown
"So, how's everything with the band?" I asked
"Ricky hasn't told you?"
"No, what's going on?" I asked
"We got signed!" Ryan said
"What! No way! That's awesome!"
"Yeah, we're going to be really busy for a while. Hopefully, we'll be successful"
"Do y'all need offical band pictures?" I asked
"Yeah, but to get a good photographer is gonna take money none of us have"
"Let me to it! I'll need it for my portfolio, and it'll help me in one of my classes" I said
"Really? You would do that for us?"
"Yeah! Ricky is like my best friend and your kinda cute" I said
"You're really cute" Ryan said blushing
**Zoey's POV**
It's a Saturday night and I'm at work with Josh. It's super awkward because we don't even speak that much.
"I can't wait to get off" he said leaning on the counter
"Got big plans?" I asked trying to make conversation
"Nah, we usually have band practice but our guitarist had a date with some chick he works with"
"That's funny. My roommate has a date tonight with some dude she works with" I said
"What's your roomates name?" He asked
"Jenna, she works at the record store"
"No way! Ryan works there" Josh said
"So, our friends are on a date together?" I said thinking out loud
"Guess so. Man, this town is so small" Josh said
"I know." I said
A few minutes later we closed up the store and I headed home to wait for Jenna. I wanted to hear all about this date of hers
