The Graveyard Shift

Chapter 17

**Jenna's POV**

Ryan gets off of warped tour tomorrow. I can't wait to see him. I've been working on editing all the pictures I've taken over the summer. I decided to take a break. So I made myself a drink and went outside with Max. I sat on the pourch swing and watched Max play in our front yard.

"Hey Jenna!" Zoey said as she got out of her car

"Hey, what's up?"

"I kinda brought a cat home." Zoey said handing me the cutest little black and white kitten

"It's so cute! Do you have a name?"

"I was thinking pumpkin" Zoey said smiling

"Yes! I like it! I can't wait to show Ryan tomorrow when he gets here!"

"What time is he gonna be in?"

"Their flight gets in at 4:15 so I get to go get him from the airport"

"Are you gonna stay the night at his house?" Zoey asked smirking

"What? No. We'll probably grab dinner and that's it. I'm sure he's tired from tour."

"Ok, Jenna, whatever you say"

I just rolled my eyes "mason called me today"

"Oh yeah! What did he say?"

"He asked me if I would take maternity pictures for him and Sam" I said smiling

"No way! Sam is pregnant? They've been together forever"

My little brother Mason and his girlfriend Sam met in 7th grade and have been together ever since. Growing up all I had was Mason. Our parents worked all the time so it was just me and him.

"I know, Mason said he was going to come visit to see Ryan again"

"I remember him and Ryan were good friends back then"

"Yeah, the only bad thing was they would always fight over who was the best player at whatever video game they were playing" I said laughing

"How far along is she?" Zoey asked

"I'm not sure to be honest."

"Oh, well, do you want a glass of wine?" Zoey asked

"Eh, sure why not"

Zoey and I had a glass of wine together and played with the animals

The next day

I was at my studio editing pictures waiting for Ryan to get home. It was only noon, and I was starving so I ran to this diner close to my studio. I was waiting for food when I heard my name

"Kelly?" I asked

"Yeah! Jenna?"

"Yeah! I haven't seen you in forever! How are you?" I asked hugging her

"Great!! Angelo and I are engaged!" She said showing me her ring

"That's beautiful! Do you need engagement pictures?" I asked

"Yeah we do actually"

"Here is my card. Give me a call and I'll take them for you." I said

"That's awesome Jenna! Thanks! So, what's going on with you these days?"

"Uh, just running my studio mainly. Being a dog mom and Zoey is a cat mom"

"That's cool! Have you talked to Ryan?"

"Yeah, we're together now"

"Really thats awesome!" Kelly said

Her and I talked for a while and ate together. Then I had to go get Ryan from the airport
