Thursday.

It's the day before I leave, management had already told me that they chose their replacement for me. They wanted me to help the replacement around and give them a schedule of the upcoming dates.

I have avoided Calum all day. I woke up super early this morning so I wouldn't have to see his face at breakfast. I had made my way to the management office and talked to my replacement about everything she needed to know.

I was currently leaving the building and made my was to the Starbucks that was across the street. I walked in and looked at the different cups that you could purchase. I decided on getting some with LA on it as a souvenir for my family. Throughout the whole tour, each stop we made, I had gotten some type of nick-knack to bring home.

"Anything else?" the boy who seemed around my age, behind the counter spoke as he scanned in the cups.

"Can I also get a venti vanilla bean frap with extra caramel drizzle and a lemon loaf," I pulled out my debit card and swiping when he tells me to.

"Name?"

"Lupe," I smiled softly, taking the bag of cups and the receipt, then waiting to the side for my drink and bread.

"Vanilla bean frap and lemon loaf for Lupe," the boy's voice called out. I grabbed my order before thanking him and sitting at a table alone in the back. I pulled out my IPad from my bag and decided to make a little list for my replacement to help her handle the boys.

"You looked a little lonely," I looked up from my electronic to see the Starbucks worker that gave me my order earlier.

"Yeah, handling some business stuff," I nodded slowly.

"So what's your story? Most people would be alone but they would be on their phone texting or calling," he drank some of his own beverage that he had brought with him.

"It's complicated," I shrug, not really wanting to tell him about what happened yesterday and a few days ago.

"I can keep secrets," he smiled kindly.

"Let's see if you can handle this," I closed the cover of my IPad and clasped my hands together. "My best friend of many years died friday, she got ran over and died on the surgery table. Then yesterday, I caught my boyfriend cheating on me, literally fucking another girl because I was growing distant from him."

"Wow, that's harsh," he looked down at the table then looked back up at me sadly, "I'm sorry."

"You have nothing to be sorry for, I'm sorry for bothering you with my depressing life," I shrug.

"If it helps, my life is depressing too," he sighs. "I work 3 jobs, my mother is sick and can't work so I have to pay for her medication and for a nurse to watch over her while I'm gone. My father is out of the the picture, I don't even know who the bastard is. I also have 2 younger siblings so I pay for their education along with mine, and obviously their daycare fees."

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," I placed my hand on his, trying to comfort him. "No one should have to work that hard."

"I manage, it keeps me on my toes. Whenever I have a break or after everyone is asleep at I home, I do my school work online."

"I've been on tour with this band as their manager and caterer and I also do online school so I kinda understand what's happening."

"We're just a couple of depressing, busy teens," he chuckled sarcastically and laughed softly as I nodded in agreement. "My break is nearly over, I should get going," he points back to the counter. "We should meet up sometime if you ever need the company," he stood up and so did I.

"I would say yes if I wasn't going home tomorrow and by home, I mean Chicago," I sighed.

"Well you'll just have to give me your number so we can at least text," he took out his phone and handed it to me and I do the same. We put our names and numbers into the each other's phone along with a goofy picture we just took.

"My name is George by the way," he hands me back my phone and I do the same.

"It was a pleasure to meet you, George," I smiled and gave a small wave as he went back to work.

After our goodbyes, I packed up my things and got an uber to drive me back to the hotel. Once I had gotten back to the hotel, I went up to my room to see Calum sitting right in front of my door.

"Leave Calum," I nudged his foot with my own and he immediately scrambles to his feet. I take my room key out of my purse and unlock the door.

"Please, Lupe, can we please just talk," he cried and I rolled my eyes.

"There's nothing to talk about, you were weak because I was distant because my friend died and you went and cheated on me," I walked into the room and he followed.

"I was weak, I wanted to help you but you pushed me away, I tried to help but I couldn't take it anymore."

"You're a fucking asshole! Leave me alone! I said I didn't want to see you," I seethed as I pointed at the hotel room door.

"You know what?" his hands balled into fists.

"What?" I rolled my eyes.

"You're just the cupcake girl, you mean nothing!" he began to walk to the door.

"And you're just a rock star and that doesn't mean shit!" I yelled back, opening the door for him and as soon as he was out of my room, I slammed it shut. I began to sob, turning my back to the door and sliding down it until I'm sitting on the floor.

Sitting on the floor with my faces in my hands, tears streaming down my face, and loud sobs leaving my mouth.

A/N: well that happened. george is just a friend y'all
