I knocked into Nick's bedroom door. "Come in." I slowly step in to find Nick and Jake sitting down playing video games. I tuck my bang behind my ear. Nick quickly glances at me then back at the game. He pauses it. "Oh you're that girl I saw on the field...Jess."-

"Aria," I said correcting him. "Oh well sorry, you look like a Jessica." I roll my eyes. I forget how annoying he can be sometimes. "Yeah Nick, you two met last year. She was the new girl." He nods. "Oh cool...why are you here?" Nick asks as I turn my gaze away from Jake. I sigh, "our parents are kind of cool and we were cool and."-

"You thought that I would remember you and things would go back to normal, well no. Sara told you were bad news." He must not know she was supposedly locking lips with Jake not too long ago but that's not my business. I cross my arms, "since when do you let Sara control you?" I question. "Since I've found out that she is the mother of my child." I gulp, "yeah well fine. You guys have fun playing your stupid ass game." I storm off. As I walk downstairs my eyes meet with the family. "So?"-

"It didn't work...and it's fine." I grab my things and walk away. "She's a real bitch. I can see why you hated her." Jake laughs, "she's cool once she stops staring at you with her crazy eyes. And you liked her." Nick laughs, "why?" Jake shrugs, "I don't know you two just had this weird connection where you two would tease each other until you eventually asked her out."

The next day I sat at practice doing my homework when this tall muscular male specimen decided to sit down next to me. "Can I help you?"

He leans back onto the next row. "Jake says we were cool...and I dated you. I don't see why you're definitely not my type." I chuckled. "I obviously was for you to date me."

He shrugs, "touché." I laugh, "exactly and will you excuse me, I'd like to finish my work so I can get out of here." He grins, "okay sweetheart, have fun." I roll my eyes, "have fun being a meathead." He gasps, "that hurt... Really that did...damn you're cold." I shrug, "I learned it from you." He rests his hand on his heart as he looks at me.

"Whoa, no need to get hostile Ms. Goodie two shoes. I was just kidding." I've forgotten how asinine he can be sometimes too. He smiles as I put my things away. "Why don't you go bother your baby momma I'm sure she'd like to enjoy your company."

He nods, "are you sure?" I nod, "yes, go be happy." I said. "Was that sarcasm? Cause I sensed it." I smirk, "go away meathead." He smirks at me before jogging off.

After practice, I walked beside Sara into the parking lot. "We're back to the old us," I said. "That's cool...is there anything you'd liked to tell me?" She says as we walk across the lot to find Nick and Jake talking. "No."

She frowns as she steps I front of me. "Come on anything." I shake my head. "I don't recall." She laughs, "look I know about you and Jake...he told me...he tells me everything." I sigh, "I'm sorry I just thought that."-

"I would hate you? Well no...I am dating a guy you liked." I shrug, "wouldn't be the first time." She laughs, "well don't make me feel bad. Now I take it back." I hug her, "awh look a slumber party."

"But please tell Nick," Vanessa asks. I nod, "what difference does it make he thinks I'm basic."

"Remind him why he fell in love with you."

"Hey V...Jess."-

"It's Aria!" I yell, "nah I was just messing with ya." I frown, "whatever. I'm going to my car." I said before passing Jake who looks at me. "Tyler."

"Carson." Nick glares over at Vanessa then at Jake and I. "Am I missing something here?"

Nick asks curiously. I laugh, "just a lot of hostility and hatred." I said, "oh really?" Jake asks. I nod, "oh okay." I walk away. "See you later Nick."

Jake races off to find me. "Tyler." I stop and turn to him, "what?" I asked crossing my arms. "We need to talk about what happened."

"How can we? You're trying to get me back with Nick." I exclaim, "yeah right after you told me you wanted nothing to do with me." I shake my head, "that's not what I said."

"It might as well have been...and now I know how it feels to be you." I gulp as he turns, "Jake...it's really not like that." He stops, "I-I'm just not used to getting close to anyone. Especially to someone who I care about." I clench my fist trying to contain my urge to kiss him again.

He motioned towards me, "I'm sorry." My eyes direct themselves away from him. Jake's hand motions towards my cheek as he cups it. "You like me?" I push him away while laughing. "Shut up." He chuckles, "alright, be safe."

I walk to my car and climb in.

The next day,

I sat in the kitchen eating cereal and thinking about other things than myself. "Hey, sweetheart."

"Isaac."

"Dad." He pats my back. "My dad died two years ago." I reply, "hey, I didn't know blame your...Ester." I sigh, "fine Isaac I'll call you dad if you take me to school so I can show off your Ferrari." He sighs, "I guess...it'll be a father-daughter thing." He says gleefully.

"Don't ruin it."

Ding Dong!

"I wonder who that is?" Isaac says. "I've got it," I said racing towards the door. As I opened and swung the door back my eyes widen. "Hello."

I look away, "who's at the door?" Isaac asks stepping out from behind me. "Oh....hello."-

"Who the hell are you?" Isaac nudges my arm. She had to be in her mid-twenties. Tall and skinny, nothing wrong with that but she was standing in my face with a malicious grin.

"Oh, Ike you haven't told her? Well, sweetie, I'm his wife." I slowly turn to him. "Aria it's not."-

"Get out." I said, "get out! Before I tell Ester."

"That bitch." She mumbles which causes me to turn to her and jab her right in the nose. She stumbles back before drifting off to what we like to call the ground.

"Aria!" Isaac yells as he grabs me.

"Get away from me." I grab my bag and storm off.
