The beaming light shown by the sun enters the school as I open my old school doors. My hair pinned up in a high ponytail and I had looked like I'd just copped out of a photoshoot. I miss those days.
With my girls beside me, I felt some type of confidence. Needing someone to make you feel in power just went through your head and you could care less. I stopped in mid-walk Reached my leg out as I saw a helpless freshman carrying her books. As soon as the tip of her shoe touched my heel she fell over and looked blankly down at the floor.v"Oops sorry, I guess I didn't see you." I parade off as if I just won. Then there was this guy, everyone liked him. He was the Johnny Tucker of the school though, handsome but a man slut--or boy slut in this case.
The ideal boy, chiseled abs, perfect smile; ruggedly handsome. We were in the process of being a thing. He'd say hi to me and occasionally flirt with me. "Hey." He nods at me. My minions, yes minions dramatically melted as if it was hot as hell in here. "Girls control yourself...he's just a hot guy who's a junior and we can't have."
"I wish...Jake's hot."
I turn to Danielle who often tried to fix up her hair any chance she got. "Excuse me what? His name isn't Jake."
"Yes, it is...and I'd let him take me out anytime." Yes, she's corny and a bit of a boy-crazed bitch...which reminds me of me in middle school. Kidding but her no. She's literally crazy she once punched this girl for looking at her boyfriend.
"Aria, wake up!"
"What the hell are you doing here?!"
I scream as my eyes flutter open and I gasp for air. "You okay?"
Isaac says entering the room. "I was in the middle of dreaming.""We need to talk." I roll my eyes. "Hey! I'm trying."
"We'll try harder!" I yell climbing out of bed. "You won't let me." I shrug, "not my problem." I walk towards my closet. "Okay well I talked to my...separated wife...and she agreed not to come over and."-
"Are you going to get a divorce I mean you do have money." He sighs, "I guess not." I smirk, "there you go."
"What?"
"That...wall thing you do...why do you think people leave you?"
Dropping what I'm doing I look down at the ground. "It's not always me." I softly say, "then who fault is it?"
I frantically run my fingers through my hair.
I sat in my chair posed and bothered. I just had spent the last twenty minutes talking about myself and how much I was perfect. "You're so lucky." One girl said. "No, she's a bitch." I snarl as I look back at my rival. I'd guess you could say she was Sara.
"I know." I tsk before pouring my milk on top of her head before laughing in her face. "Bye bitch." I get up and walk over towards the Johnny Tucker himself.
"Aria, right?" I smile, "of course." I twirl my finger through my hair. "Hi...what's up?" Suddenly I could feel myself stepping forward- stumbling onto him. "You okay?"
I quickly turn to this little girl and slap her, watch yourself!" I yell before walking away. "Yes of course." He smiled at me. "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out later?"-
"Aria that's the boy's bathroom," Sara says grabbing me and pulling me away from the door. "H-how did I get here?" I question looking around. "I don't know you've just been here...are you okay?" I nod slowly, "I'm fine. I'm just gonna go now."
I walk away, "Aria...I mean buttercup."
'Sweetheart.' I gasp for air- "whoa are you okay?" I nod, "it's nothing go." He smiles, "you're lying." He rests his arm around my shoulder and pulls me in for a hug. "I can sense there is something is wrong with my lady."
I laugh, "it doesn't concern you but thanks for asking why."
I duck under his arm, "were you always this resistant of me?" I smirk gazing upon him. "Yea...that's what made you so attracted to me because for once you couldn't have something that was handed to you."
He rubs his chin, "but you were handed to me, you were put in my life to make me better to show me something."
There goes that smile, that quirks up, creeping from the corner of my mouth. "Oh and speaking of that have you figured out my nickname for you?"I ask, "no, can you just tell me?"
I shake my head. "I always have a purpose, Nick." He leans back with a smirk. "God I hate you." I lean forward, "hate is such a strong word think of it as lust."
The announcement hits through my ears. "Good morning bluebirds! Prom announcements, tickets on sale for the Hollywood themed extravaganza! Tickets now selling at fifty-four dollars." I nod, "I'm most definitely am going now I love."-
"Hollywood?" He raises an eyebrow. "No, I love movies that are made in Hollywood from adaptions from books or from just ideas." I spin around in glee Which makes him laugh, "you're such a nerd."
I tuck my bang behind my ear. "Sorry." He smiles, "no it's cute."
"Oh okay...see you around Nick." I wink before wondering off. "Bye."
"Huh...it's funny how she used to call you her Romeo and now you two act like total strangers." Vanessa rests her arm on his shoulder. "Wh-what?"
"Oh...she didn't tell you were her Romeo? She said she called you that because you resembled his downfall, from his looks, attributes, to his flaws, and his undying will to protect what he loves."
Nick smirks with a chuckle, "Romeo huh? She must really like me to give me that name."
Vanessa sighed, "yea and your best friend."
