Once we arrived back in town I watched as the boys carried out suitcases to the taxi cab. "I'm happy you decided to come," Isaac says approaching us. "Whatever," I mumble. Jake wraps his arm around my shoulder and kisses my cheek. "I'll make sure she's on her best behavior." I take my bag and walk up to the house. Nick and Jake follow but Isaac stops them.
"It has come to my attention that you two both love Aria, my daughter. Jake, her current boyfriend...you hurt her I'll kick your ass that and I'm trying to prove Ester that you two are meant for each other. No offense Nick, oh and another thing this is our three days so no fighting or making Aria crazy we're trying to get this family back to together, now go."
I set my bags on my bed and sit, I turn as I hear a knock, "Ivy!"
She smiles and I greet her with a long hug, "you missed me?"
"Of course. I'm pretty sure you've already heard. I'm."-She laughs, "all the party guest know your love triangle is like the social news around here. Anyways I'll leave you to unpack. And I'm sorry to hear that we couldn't be sisters." I roll my eyes, "we were never gonna work out, Ivy." She nods, "maybe." She walks off and I start to unpack.
She stops as she gazed upon her baby brother and smiles. "Ivy." He says, "ass, how's your head these days?" She asks approaching him. "Fine."- Her hand hits the back of his head with striking force. "How'd you let her get away? She's the love of your life and you let her go? That and she's like the only girl you've brought home I actually truly like." Nick nods, "I'm starting to remember. Is that enough for you?" She shakes her head. "No I'll see you later I have to go see baby Tyler."
While walking down the hall Ester holds my baby brother who I don't even bother remembering his name. "Aria, so glad you could come." I smile,"wouldn't want to miss my aunt getting married." With a heavy sigh, she looks away. "It's okay I know you didn't want me. But I'm happy for you and Isaac and this creature. After this, you won't have to be reminded of your mistake again." I walk away to find Jake with a cigarette perched inbetween his fingers. "Carson." He quickly tosses the deadly killer onto the ground and stomps on it. "Hey, what's up?" He asks as if nothing happened. "You only smoke when something is bothering you, okay?" Taking his hand I walk closer towards him. "I'm fine." He looks up, "I can't smoke without you on my fuckin case! Vanessa would've let me be."
"And look what happened! Jake I'm trying to."-
"Stop!" I step back. "Jake you're confusing me. One day you love me the next your pushing me away. Did I do something wrong?" He shakes his head. "No...its me." I tilt my head to the side. "I-I don't understand. Are you cheating on me?" He shakes his head. "No!"
"Then what is it?" I ask, Jake turns away. "You either tell me or I go."-"What is this? You're supposed to be getting ready for the party." Isaac shoo's us. I walk away from him.
As I was slipping on my shoes I heard a knock on the door. "Aria." I slowly look up. "Carson." He sighs, "I'm sorry for earlier...I just have a lot on my mind."
"And I don't?" I ask, "not everything is about you Aria." I walk towards him. "Jake I love you I just want to."-
"You shouldn't love me." He says reluctantly, "please don't be another Nick."- I said looking into his eyes like a sad puppy."Why do you always compare me to him? I'm not him nor do I want to be." I nod, "I'm sorry I'm just used to people giving up on me or breaking my heart." He sighs, "you're really not making this easy." Rolling my eyes I cross my arms, "then tell me how I can." I said, "you can't." He says. "Why not?" I ask. "Because I'm the reason why your parents are dead!" With a loud gasp, I step away from him. "It wasn't a deer that ran into you guys it was me, a drunk boy who was stupid and I."-
I slap him, "how could you leave that out?" I ask with daggers pouring out at him. "It was...I'm...so sorry. I didn't know that girl was you and I know this is the worst."-
My fist collides with his face and he attempts to hug me but I push him off of me. "Don't ever...just don't." I brush past his shoulder and I walk away. "Aria!" Nick approaches Jake, "is she okay?" Nick asks, "if you count telling your girlfriend you're responsible for her parent's death to get her back with as fine then yes." Jake sighs, "go after her." Nick says, "no...she hates me now. I should go."- Nick presses his hand on his chest, blocking him from leaving. "Don't make the mistakes I've made go after her. She wants you to trust me." Jake looks down at Nick's hand and then at him. "You remember?"
Nick slowly steps back, "or you're starting to. What do you remember?" Jake presses for answers. "The crown...Aria's seventh birthday and her first...our first kiss together." Jake sighs, "look don't worry I'm not gonna try and step in because that's not who I am anymore. Sure she's mad now but she loves you and she needs you. So apologize do whatever you have to do to make her forgive you because if you leave her alone for too long she'll figure out you don't care... When you actually do."
"I'm not good for her remember, Nick?"
Jake walks away. "That was kind of you," Isaac says peering out from the corner. "I just want her to be happy." Isaac nods, "yet you make her happy. She's taught you something. I never knew what she saw in you but now I do." Isaac pats his back before preceding to leave.
